Hey everyone!

So finally almost a year after buying the car in the UK from Duncan, I'm finally with some time to start writing about it and also occupy myself on the mechanical parts required for the importation "MOT" here to pass.

For now I have very few photos of it as I can't circulate with the car around here until it's legal... But I have these...





For now those are all that I have :)

I'm going to keep this thread alive with all the evolution of the car lifetime and also the things that will be changed as well as his legalization process.

True, long time since I gave any news... I've been quite busy since I came back from UK with the VSM.
Changed job, wife's pregnant and I had to postpone the registration unfortunately since here they demand alot for the registration to go easily...

Welcome, great place to own and drive an EK9. Where about in Switzerland are you.
 
Hi, I'm nearby Geneva. :)

So far I've had a few setbacks to take care of the legalization of the car. I just found out that the headlights I've bought to exchange the mirrors inside are not compatible so I've just opened two sets of headlights for nothing :(

Gonna have to buy another set... Perhaps from eBay in america and hopefully I can switch the mirrors then and get the original headlights with proper mirrors inside.

Lets see... For now, I'm just two months away from the birth of my first born and that's the priority for now :)

August will be a much more active month on the EK9 subject I hope. I'm kinda stressed because I want to take it for a ride but I can't for now :(

Lovely motor! Is this the VSM that was for sale at the same time as my '9 last April? (Just going off the fact you say almost a year) I just remember the VSM selling not long after I bought mine.

I got it from Dunx last August so I would say it is. About the engine... works like a clock so far. Hates the winter though and gets quite unstable when I turn then key below 7C. :)

Yeah, you're probably right. For now, I still have to take care of the catalyst (it hasn't got one) and the headlights.
Then I might have to either repro the beast or get another ECU with stock values... By the way, any idea where I can get the default map for the B16B?

Hey y'all!

Forgot to update this thread as I've been devided between work, home, kids, etc... Car is legal in Switzerland since June (of this year) and... boy, what an adventure :)

But it pays off to have the ONLY VSM EK9 registered in Switzerland and driving it is such a pleasure I can't describe it :)

Some improvements and other works have to be done on the car, but overall it's a 9/10 condition car that will visit the track now and then and the rest will be mountain roads, where it really belongs.

Here are some pictures of my beloved "toy" before the winter sleep. Hope you enjoy.
