no theres a few other bits. all will be revealed when i find these brochuresam i right in saying the only difference with a ek9 chassis compared to lower models is the stronger rear subframe and seam welded front subframe
Sadly that is how they go if people don't look after them / underseal them correct. Mine has had spots like that where people have done a shoddy job. (just behind the rear drivers seat mount) Just have to fix it and do it properly, which is what I am doing now.Picked up this Black few months back. Very original car but rusted beyond belief.
Anyone rescued one this bad?
Rust is in every seam bar the bulkhead ones
Lots of undersealer holding it all together
Just noticed the jacking point delete that's in some state hahaThe Gumtree link is correct - that's the car!
Yeah exactly that rear corner is always a common one though always see that section repaired!Sadly that is how they go if people don't look after them / underseal them correct. Rubberised underseal has a habit of hiding rust. especially if it cracks and then allows water in during the winter

I cant find anything differentinteresting, cant think what else there is when comparing just the chassis
Bar the rear subframeI cant find anything different
There are a few extra spot welds around the rear of the car, I can take photos for you since my car is completely stripped of interior.
I will also appreciate some images of the areas that are reinforced from the factory on the EK9. I always wondered what is seam welded, but still haven't found images and solid information about these areas,
Since we are on the seam welding topic, anyone got recommendation on what parts should be seam welded and what shouldn't on EJ/EK chassis? I'm looking to seam weld my EJ since it will be fully stripped, but I'm still not familiar what parts are worth doing it and what not.
