gd information this seen it on google b4 in theroy cud upgrade my b16a to b16b but its handy2 kno stuff like the fact they used the same 60mm throttle boddies kus enlarged cud affect low end power an prove a useless mod! top draw info like it :)
 
i swear my redline is 8400 in my ek4. hm willl have to check tonight onway to work .
 
my Vtec cuts in at 5400 - 5500 in my ek4 it is definately not 5700 i'm definately in vtec by that pint.
oh yeah and my redline is 8300 so my tacho , cluster, rev counter is correct.

does any know wat wud be wrong with a vtec engine that the vtec dosnt kick in...as in no difference in sound or power?

Do you have the check engine light on?

It can be a lot of things, bad sensor, not proper oil pressure, etc etc...
 
dont trust what your cluster shows they are not 100% accurate.

agreed. i had my b16b tuned and the tachometer was 200 rpm off. and i don't think a b16b is capable of 150 mph (post # 14) because in mine car, fouth gear ends at about 105 mph. not unless 5th gear is very long like first gear which i doubt it.
 
also isnt the B16B a destroke version of the b18 DC2 ? i have seen this on many site but no defanate confirmation
 
yes you are right b16b and b18c has the same block lenth but diferent internals.thats why you can so easy make a b16b 1.8L
