Why are they so ****?

They have 180bhp, LSD, do 0-60mph 5.5sec and they only do 1/4 mile in 15.5? thought they would do it in V. low 14's?

:ek9:

im guessing tires and lack of tq, 15.xx sounds about right though.

The first time i went to the track my best time was 15.3. Completely stock motor. Comptech race exaust, and carbon fiber hood.

EK9's make a time of 15.9 to 15.5 in the 1/4 :D completely stock ;)

I'm guessing your american?? The country where standard integra type R's do a 1/4 mile in 13 flat.......................

wouldnt say ek9's are **** to be honest, what do you drive?

the ek9 definatly does not do 0-60 mph in 5. ish seconds its more like 7.2-7.5 that said there not the worst 1/4 mile

that 5. ish sec to 60 is written everywhere!!!! ha ha

seriously EK9_eater what do you drive?, im in america stock itr's dont do 13 do people say that? maybe on slicks and nitrous.

Standard ek9s they run 15s in the 1/4 mile, i have friends in the USA with ls/vtec on eg6s chassis that run 13s. Nice 1/4 mile time, tuning on a dyno its the secret I think :)

aem ems hmmmmm thats way to much money :p

i agree, come to think of it, you can street tune with CROME PRO also. its not as powerful, but for cars making under 400hp it should be excellent.

I prefer a chipped p28 ecu, with a custom map based on mods lol

you just described a crome basemap. check out www.phearable.net this guy can do it, tell him revhard sent you. you tell him what you got and he makes a custom basemap for your set up, i have an allmotor basemap on its way right now (i ordered it before i decided to boost it), i'll let you know how it goes.

j-k and phearable are competitors, there both good, and yes you can have more than one chip for an ecu, as long as its socketed (phearable and jk ecus are all socketed) the socket makes it so you can swap chips by just popping them in and out, or if you already have an ecu you want socketed and chipped they can do that too, the reason phearable didnt respond to your email is because its new year and hes in florida so he might have been either partying of sleeping. jk must have lowered his prices, before they where more expensive. both good guys, i'll let you know what i think of my phearable chip, should be here anyday now.

Thanks, i can't buy from jk, because they only accept paypal, i hope that phearable.net accept credit cards :(

my ek9 has been timed @ 6.1 secs to 60 mph and a 15.1 1/4 mile ,and has a 4-1 dc JDM header, full spoon n1 ,itg maxogen, sports cat, ultra leads, irrdium plugs, so how do you get 7.5 seconds to 60 mph? when my ek9 is quicker than my frends ep3 2.0 type R civic with a few mods ????????? which has a factory 0-60 mph of 6.6 seconds ???????

awesome! why did you choose such a low vtec cross-over point? your car might bog for a second when it hits vtec if its too low.
