EG6 pure track toy joy!

Awesome job on the car, enjoying the vids. Keep up the good work.

Good work! I hope you cleaned that sump like your life depends on it!

Enjoying the vids dude keep them coming, i can vouch for sump bolts being a right bitch, I had to drop my sump recently on my b18c6 ek due to it deciding to dump all my oil out on the
A14.

Cut a long story short rolled onto the hard shoulder and had to get recovered,
My sump had rusted through so no damage to engine luckily, I noticed a thick trail of smoke behind me as it was leaking onto exhaust mani lol.
Got the rust cut out and a patch welded over the hole which only cost me £10.... Happy days :nice:

While refitting sump I sheered off two bolts when torquing them to factory spec and ended up having to drill them out :angry2:

Look forward to the completed car and maybe some track day videos ? :drive:
Cheers, joe.

Haha yes cleaned the sump to death including a good few sweeps with a magnet!

The sump had a little surfact rust, so cleaned it up and repainted hope that will be ok. Next time I go home I will get those last two pesky studs out and hopefully get the engine swapped without any further issues - There, I've said it now! Haha! We'll see...

Got a test day coming in a few weeks and then my first race weekend so look forward to that :)

Thanks again for the support!

did you have a crash in this? i got a snap chat of a yellow and blue eg on a trailer with the front smashed in?

Edit* got to work early today and your youtube channel was still up so i continued to watch some more videos, of practising, qualifying and racing etc. so pretty much watched all the videos on there now.. weird. feels like i've been on a journey with this car haha.

That's awesome buddy thanks for watching!

Sorry I've been a bit slow lately, car has been a **** with this misfire and Ive been away with work for a while, but I'll be back soon!

Also the car had definitely not been crashed....yet ;)

What happened in the race then dude ????
Watched all your videos on YouTube and waiting for track footage.

Had an awesome weekend of racing at Rockingham this weekend in the AFRC, and Hot Hatch series.

First time the car has finished a race!

I finished first and second in the Hot Hatch Races respectively, got a bit emotional at the end of the first race, check the video!

I've watched a number of your vids in the past but didn't realise you had a thread on here.. definitely subscribed.

Amazing how far you and the car have come - a whole heap of inspiration!

Thanks mate, don't really get a lot of feedback so that's good to hear!

I've taken to just doing to video's now as opposed to doing the project threads, I'd like to have time to do both!

Managed to get some aero mods done this weekend. Really happy with how it all turned out;
