Effective wheel cleaner... advice please..

AUTO GLYM WHEEL CLEANER......!!!!

and for people like JOSHM88 they do a Custom wheel cleaner...

I have always used it.
put it this way my grandpa has been using it since the early 70's and swears by it...

spray on to dirty wheel's --- leave for a minute --- whip with a brush and then sprinkle water over it --------- Stand back and be amazed.... its like fresh paint coming through...

honestly guys its better than all these new rip off ones like NANO technology ones...PFFtttt

put simply AutoGlym WORKS !!!

It works cause its full of acid mate....not good.

Hopefully I will find out later today/tomorrow how good(or bad) bilberry is.

Waiting for the postman at the moment...

really?? it hasn't damaged any of my wheels at all...
used it for a good 4 years now on every car i have had...

I use it to clean all the mess off and then use Supaguard alloys wheel protector....

Hmm maybe i'll have to get some of this bilbery stuff...
You had bad experience with autoglym wheel cleaner then...???

To be honest iv used it a good few years ago and no never had any problems with regards to damaging wheels but because its got acid in it i dont know what the long terms affects of using it would be. Cant imagine its good for your wheels. Trust me bilberry is awesome stuff and very safe :)

cool man. i'll take your advice and get some of that stuff..
thanks mate

Update.

Bilberry is amazing.
Sprayed a diluted mix (4 water : 1 bilberry approx) over the wheels before I cleaned the car. After I finished the rest of the bodywork, hosed of the wheels - I was shocked to see 90% of the dirt just literally rinse off. leaving just 10% stubborn dirt for minimal brush work to get them clean.
Couldn't recommend this stuff enough.
Given that it is effective in this diluted mix, it is very good value for money.

Next time I wash the filthy & blackened wheels (at the rate these pads cake the dust on, that will be end of the week) I will take pics.

Make sure you keep on top of it, I tried cleaning some wheels from my brother's EK9 with weeks of baked on RC6 dust and 1:1 Bilberry with a scouring pad barely even dents it!

I've acquired a spare set of alloys (oem ek9) that I'm now tempted to put on and give me a break from all this cleaning lol.

washed mine the weekend, used 2 coats of chemical guys wheel guard on my new wheels before they were fitted, excellent stuff! washed the car then used the left over for the wheels. the dirt just washed away so easily, never needed the bilberry or even a brush.

I use Megs hot rims its really good stuff

I'm kinda a Meguiars whore! I used to work at a detailing shop back in 2000, and the Meguiars rep used to come around and chit chat one day he asked me if I knew who's silver ek9 was in the parking lot...lol, sure do! So he asked me if I wanted to test some proto-type products. Fist thing he gave me was Hot Shinefor tyres, which amazed me. It sprays on like rattle-can paint, lasts a few weeks(even though washes) and doesn't sling all over the fenders. Second was Hot Rims for my Volks, I was a bit nervous to test it out but I said screw it. It works really good, I never left it on too long so I'm not sure the negative affects.

I highly suggest their product!
