ecu swap question

hi i have an EDM civic with an immobilizer. my question is if i swap out the ecu with a JDM equivelant will this remove the immobilizer , so even an uncoded key will start the car (have one coded key and a couple uncoded that just work on doors but not ignition), or will the car be left in an immobilized condition when i change the ecu?

Anybody any experience with changing ecus? Any info would be much appreciated.
