Ecu for ej9

Alright, Just wondering what would be the best ecu to put on a 99 ej9 standard D14 engine for best gains without killing everything & no i dont want to do a engine swap.

Agree^^^ I know you said you dont want to do a swap but if your looking for decent gain in power it's pretty much the only option. Every one to there own though

going obd1 is the best way but it would cost more. The simplest way is to get a used safc/vafc and tune it. You can get 5/6hp more if you know to tune it right

Put your money somewhere else, (wheels, carbon fiber hood for example) for your motor is a waste of money...

As oifovo said.

Don't be put down cos you have a D series, they can run with the best of em although it means spending serious cash. A cheaper, safer option is to go for a B series but dude, maybe safe up for an EK4? You get the engine, uprated bits and bobs and you can insure it as a standard car since... it's standard.

Yeah I'm 17 though I'm not insuring a ek4 anytime soon, il keep my money and save for a ek4 or maybe if I'm a lucky a ek9
