I want some ebay coilovers , as i am very eager to have my car really low . didnt want to use lowering springs as my shocks are really old and soft , and the main reason i dont have alot of money :) these would be used for road use etc .

Has any one had any experience with these and what can i expect?:nerv:

really hard bumpy ride?

btw this is what ive been looking at

COILOVER HONDA CIVIC ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION on eBay (end time 03-Dec-09 13:08:26 GMT)

:thanks:

IMHO - DON'T DO IT MAN!!!

For that money the quality is gonna be absolutely terrible. Hold on for a while longer, save a little more and buy yourself a half decent second hand set..

take notice^^ thats only a bit more than a decent set of springs, realy isnt going to be good, probably break and cost you more in the long run.

:p lol , i new the idea of ebay coilovers wouldnt thrill every one :D

why would it be really terrible ?

what other options do i have? how about new springs and 2nd hand shocks ??

i am really feinding to lower my car :please:??

As with all things in life, if you're gonna insist on rushing it you're generally gonna end up with a bad job. Why not wait a while and save up a little more?

save up man £500 meister r coilover. you buy cheap you buy twice

Have to agree....:nice: Just wait and safe more..If you buy those they could be **** and then you will end up getting a decent set..Why not wait and do it right the 1st time round..Might take longer to get your car low but it will be worth the wait

My mate had these
this is how he described them when i asked
hay man yeah the coilover are allright... ride is a bit rough now and they only lover the car 70mm not 120 like it says but it looks good and it handles around the corners like nothing else... havent been scared once stickin in into a corner

over all r8in 6/10

they are easy enough to fit but its not the whole system u have to take of the oem top mounts and transfer them over. hence the benefit of paying out the extra bucks for d2's

hope this helps vito

yeah i agree with what every one is saying , but i dont dont want to spend £500+ on coilovers as i dont plan to keep the car for a long time.

what about tein/ eibach springs on standard shocks??:nerv:
or any other springs that offer more than 40mm drop .

i know i sound really impatient :)

my mate got a set of them on his mk1 golf, the body of them are completely rusted ( suppose to be rust proof) hard as u like, almost like having square concrete wheels IMO, un-bareable for road use, hes planning on going back to shocks and springs for road use!

Well they are instock ready for next day delivery if you want them. Far as I know we have only 5 sets in the UK right now as Eibach UK is out of stock of them LOL.

listen to Accessory Zone, this man knows his suspension products, i can vouch the Eibach products have a great drop to them and ride as reasonable as it gets...

yeah ive been looking at the reviews on them and they apparently the best ride comfort, so theres no danger running them on standard ej9 shocks??

As long as they are installed properly and the shocks are in good shape it should be fine...

if you can get them cheap, look into STD or Daiyama coilovers. I know they are made in Taiwan, but their quality is exceptional and perform as well as most high-end coilovers out there.

i would never trust ebay coilovers, simply because they are off ebay lol

yeah ive decided on getting good springs instead of cheap coilovers :)

eibach sportline then tokico HP shocks at a later date
