Dyno Proven Ecu & Intake Comparison

FairPlay to you guys for taking the time to test these out. Wishing you'd have done the dc2 intake tho lol
So where can we find these velocity stack filters? Never herd of them befor

Well these test were carried out on my car and spoon ecu works well. Over 10bhp gains and these were back to back runs. Angus what do you think of the figures 185.5 and 123?

It's very good power for a b16b. I've used that exact filter setup(blox v-stack) on a few car's now with good results:nice:

Yeah but was like that at low rpm so dought would damage anything. Was going to get vafc and get you too map it and clean up afrs and in my opinion 5200 on b16b is way to early for vtec

That could work

Means nothing , This Is dyno graph Comparison , Every car no matter what power higher or lower drives different on the road , Also Gear Changes , Weight etc is Big Factors That come into a race , Its Not Testing when your road Racing a B18 , Doesnt prove a thing . This Is to show the lads exact differences on the day as i have said , Same Day / Same Car , Its there On Paper.

Im not doubting your top end figures because the spoon ecu allows you to rev a few hundred rpm higher than oem, it is obviously going to make a few extra peak BHP

The car must loose some midrange with the spoon ecu then because when we tested the 2 ecu's it was on the same car with the same drivers against the same car and we did quite a few runs and the standard ecu pulled better everytime.

The car could not keep up with the dc2 when it had the spoon ecu, after a few runs we then switched to the oem facelift ek9 ecu and the car sat side by side the dc2 every run

That could work

Im Doing same intake with cold feed and heat shield as posted in pictures above , Hopefully I should See 190 125 Myself too With The Neptune and a tweek map from your self as the itg that was tested is the one from my car what you think ??.

From what I've just read its about the length of the intake arm. So could this be further tuned to make a better intake than the blox one?

Would have liked to have seen a comparison done on a dyno with the cars running the different ecu's and mods , This is my friends car and its running the spoon ecu and power is as seen above , Im Running the itg maxogen that was tested and him the blox velocity stack , but all the tests where on his car , now off the dyno when where racing on the road 1st to 4th the cars are just side by side , My car running the same power 185.9bhp 122.9 ft lb , Me with a mappable Neptune ecu and him with the spoon generic ecu map , how can you tell me that the spoon ecu is actually not a better option over stock Ek9 Ecu , Its proven on and off the dyno By Ourselfs . I Know Im Running the Itg Intake at the moment but still doesnt make the spoon ecu even close to standard ecu .

Also Both The Same Engines B16b , Both Mugen Twinloop Exhaust , Decat , Manifold .

Lots of people have tested spoon ecu previously and gains on a b16b are tiny, under 1hp.
Lower vtec is nice though I guess...

Perhaps but every engine is different so what results you gain on one might not necessarily be the same for the other. Time will tell!

True , ill get onto you as soon as its ready for tweek map , surely though if itg dropped so much power on his car over the blox which is being fitted to mine too then ITG holding mine back too!

The 185+ on these b16b on standard cams seems to be the limit ! Well on our fuel anyway

What size itg filter was used ?
There is a number of sizes
