Hi members,

As promised for sometime I shall now present my exclusive driving videos in Japan's mountain roads for all Honda EK9 fans. I have had my EK9 for about 10 months now. I recently got a HD camcorder and will start taking videos of my regular driving in Hakone region.

I hope to show better footage of my activities driving the Civic Type R as it is designed for. Will have footage on the circuit when I go too.

At the moment my video skills are a bit rubbish but will improve as time goes.

My car is mostly stock stetting wise, but with good brakes and tyres, strong engine mounts, a engine torque damper and clutch. Even the suspension and exhaust is stock.

Yes it is true that Japan has probably some of the (if not the best) pieces of tarmac in the world. The amount that the Japanese Land Transport department spends (actually we pay through both nostrils at fully opened throttle for the Tolls) goes to the constant refurbishment of roads throughout the country.

We are also very fortunate that the fuzz don't really disturb us when we get up to our nocturnal activities. The 'driving' culture has been going on for decades so its very deep in the local culture.

I will try to make a good video of my EK9 going full throttle at night soon..

Stay tuned.

The 'biker gloves' are actually just regular leather half gloves commonly used for driving rather than full racing gloves on conventional roads. Does make grip on the steering feel more accurate.

roads look amazing, so does the place

refurbishment is no doubt high quality unlike the cheap **** we have here with quick repairs that end up breaking in 6 months and causing a bigger hole

and i spotted an rx7 at 2 minutes 22 secs.... yeehaa! :D
