Does kswap destroy handling of ek9?


Yes that's certainly true, it's a lot more hassle. The difference between the B18C and B16b is not as big though. So it's certainly a matter of personal opinion and taste :) My dream is to put a k24 block with K20A head in a Type R :p

I have a buddy that has this type of setup, k24/k20head. Its impressive, but he does not like it due to the amount of torque. Too much wheel spin, clutch and transmission issues. Not knocking this setup, just pointing out that more money would need to be thrown at the project to make it more reliable.
 
Ok and is it lightly modded and tuned or really heavily? I would expect that with an LSD it should get the power down nicely...I once drove along with a Teggy turbo, 296whp out of a B18C. I was surprisded at the amount of grip when accelerating with good 225 wide tires (but of course rwd will be better, especially when you pass a certain power/torque figure).
 
^^^300whp na, so yes heavy mods. But yes he is also running LSD with nt01 225/45s, breaking transmissions all the time. Too much power on the K transmission.
I would guess that 250whp is about the limit on FWD setups.
