Decided to take a chance at my stock airbox .

So to keep it the most flowing and unrestricted possible , i sanded the top of the airbox ;

Some work to get some velocity stack wannabe ( CT like):

After 100 , 500 and 1500 sandpaper , the result;

With this part finished , im gonna do the cold air feed with the stock resonator , because we can still use the stock fixation , and for that i will cut the pipe and weld it again a little bit shorter:

( not my car , just to give u the idea )

At this part still don't know what to do , if i use a bigger velocity stack and preserve that " U " part , or , cut the "u" in a half and put it in a more direct way just to suck the air there .

More to come when i receive the resonator from a friend.

Cool idea, might do the same!
Not sure on the "u" part, for OEM keep it as is.. but for experimenting on full potential id say cut it mate!

hmm, those air guides might be there for airflow reasons

Not that i am an expert on aerodynamics but i'd say sanding the top of that box did literally next to nothing.....

I turned my Oem Ek airbox 90 degrees and just bought some silicone hose to go into the wheel arch where the stock u pipe goes, Changed the Panel filter to an aftermarket one and i'd say thats about as far as you can go with the Oem box..

DC2 airbox and intake piping is the best upgrade is you want to remain OEM..
