The lights:

Lets remove the panels:

Panel out, lets gently twist the connector:

Old bulb..

If you want you can apply a air duster to the light panel:

Led bulbs installed:

Lets test them:

Where did you end up picking up those LEDs from? They look awesome, whereas some don't seem to over the whole range of the license plate etc (seem more like a spot light).

Think I'll have to get my arse into gear and do that as well as the EK lights.

I think these are just 501 bulbs off of ebay. Usually run these too. look quality.
