Debating Selling

I say Keep it.

I sold mine and miss it every day. Granted I no longer have a "fun" car at all as the ek9 was my second / track car. But i still loved it. More than any car I've owned before or since!

Just keep the EK9, keep it mint, keep saving up....... and buy the Exige. You know its the right thing to do :nice:

You will need to sell it because if you do not sell it, you will never experience what missing something "really" means.

then you will buy another putting more money into your local economy generating economic growth for your town/city/country which will fuel corruption and more laws that do not need to become law.

SELL IT!

true story :nice:

It's a tough choice, I think If you do sell it you would regret it but you never know until it's happened. Would give you a chance to try something else, like alot of people say an M3 would be a good car but the running cost would be alot more than an EK9.

I think your old cars for sale again:

1998 HONDA CIVIC TYPE-R SILVER, track spec ek9, very capable car, £££££'s spent | eBay

Wow seems to have turned into a bit of a debate.

I think give it a couple weeks to see what's about then you will probably see a for sale thread.

Did think about turbo but the car is completely standard so seems a little out of sync. I never planned on modding it, just using it and keeping it shiney.

I Do like dc5's and s2000 so think they'll be in the test list. Possibly an evo maybe 8?

:)

It kinda depends on what you're looking for. If you are looking for an equally raw car there ain't much around. Though an Elise/Exige might be it; I personally think they're sort of a RWD super Type R. E46 M3 is nice. But it's kind of short sighted to say they're cheap. Yes they're cheap to purchase and there is a reason for it. Fueling, maintaining and modding is god damn expensive.

Tama has a point too though, if you're not gonna change you'll never know what you'll miss. As other said, I think you should test drive some cars.

I'd say sell it. Sold my black pre facelift around 2 years ago and since I have owned the following,

2005 MK5 Golf GTI ( just as quick, more tuning potential and more comfy. Better image too)

2007 edition 30 GTI ( 310 BHP, DSG and all of above)

E39 M5 ( not comparable but an amazing car )

Point I'm trying to make is, move on & experience as many cars as poss. 9 is a good car but its potential is limited without K swap etc...

It's not the comfiest and doesn't have the best image.

Also just to add I drove my friends UK ITR last month, flat out. Good car, arguably better than ek9 and still didn't make me want to buy another ek9/itr
