Dave's JDM DC2 O.E.M BUILD


So cool! Must have deep enough pockets for a build like this and someone helping you along the way, If a jobs worth doing it's worth doing right eh?

Rega's will look great on there, Will be interested in the price of the New headlights, let a alone obtaining a pair unless you already have some lined up?

price on the headlights are £215 each from japan, had a email earlier today. but its looking with delivery and vat its gonna be almost £600 so I'm going to get the oem ones re done.. will update asap and thanks for the comments guys. I hope it can be 100% complete by japfest, but I'm not rushing for it either

Thanks bud, i SHOULD state that these are not regamasters... But slipstreams. I have stickers left over from the last set or regamsters i resprayed and i thought why not. Lol.
 
The wheels look cool, most people would never know they're not the real thing,

Nothing wrong with slipstreams anyway

I expect some fan boy will say you shouldn't of put the stickers on but who cares!
 
well to each their own, iv had genuine regas before.... it doesn't bother me to be honest
 
Yeh, I was thinking the headlights would be expensive, Would love a set, Look so good!

And there are indeed plenty of worse wheels on the market now-a-days than rota's, I've some slips for track.

Price on ICB is astronomical though!
 
Yes I KEEP going on there to look at these, and the BYS bumper they have... prices are depressing lol. well if i hadn't of spent so much then i would of bought rega's but i had these slips for silly cheap brand new, I'm not one to pass on a bargain. To be fair they look good and being 7jj should sit nice with the 205/50's I'm getting
 
Brilliant build mate. There is something very satisfying about restore a car.

Don't bother contacting ICB if you ever feel like buying the BYS bumper, I've been contacting them over and over and they never respond.
Did order a few things in the past and received everything, now they just seem to ignore me or maybe even international customers in general.

I just stopped trying and bought my parts from other shops, which made it more expensive in the end as I had to buy everything separately.
But at least I got a reply and the parts I wanted. Good job on the DC2 btw, everything looks soooo clean :nice:

Where can you get the lights for £600 are they the 98spec ones ??

Hmmmm... Apparently ICB can be a funny bunch, like I read a review that made them out to be quite selective on who they sell what to, even to a shop visitor, I ordered a set of OEM clear side repeaters from them and they crossed out the OEM part no. On the packaging. So I can't share it or find the part from Honda being a Japan only part it seems.
 
96spec lights for that price.. yeh i have emailed them before about some sprint harts and they never got back to me. thanks EK4SURE and SIMAUTO
 
x2 on ICB, asked them about a few parts and got ignored. Then a while later asked about a few little bits and they were happy to send them to the other side of the world...
 
Try rhd Japan, I've bought a lot off them and they are dead on, also try Simon at Henry for the headlights! :nice:
 
Such a cool build. Don't see too many nuts and bolt rebuilds like this on a dc2, great to see. Can I ask where you got hold of your rega stickers? Trying to locate a set just now!
 
THANKS guys, stickers where off ebay.. I don't think brand new genuine ones are available anymore.. if they are I cant find them lol
