Will outer cv joints off d series drive shafts/axels fit b series shafts? The d series shafts are off a 98 EJ9 which AFAIK shares same front hub setup as a EK4 civic(y21/s4c trans)

The EK9 shafts are more like a 98 DC2. I am pretty sure the outer joints are the same

The outer cv joints on the 98spec ITR are bigger 36mm, EK9 and all other B series are 32mm afaik. I have a set of 98spec shafts which is why im wondering will a d series outer cv joint fit the shaft.

EK9 outer joints are the same as a 2000 year UK DC2. D series are way to amall

They are the same size.

JDM 96ITR, USDM/UKDM 97+ ITR, CTR, D-series same size.

This is the main reason why powertrain swaps are so easy and have been extremely common in the states. There's no need to swap/press hubs.

Yes that is true for the UK spec ITR but as I said I have JDM 98spec shafts which are larger than other B series shafts so they wont work with EK4 hubs only JDM 98spec+ ITR 5lug hub.

Thanks for clearing that up. Ill strip down these D series shafts I have so and reuse the outer cv joints.

Dude I know this is a old post but iv got some d series outer cv joints and I'm wondering if you did swap your d series cv joints to your b series without problems?
Thanks in advance.
