Here are a few pics of the head light harness. It is ran only underneath the drive side fender so in case something were to go wrong with it I would only need to take off the one fender.

All of the brackets and studs are off and smoothed down. Will use a very small amount of filler near some of the studs due to small holes.

It’s a Rywire tucked rad. Its has -16 fittings welded on to it. The person I bought it from included 2 slims fans for the rad, both hoses with -16 fittings. I got it for really good price. Now I need to order the k-tuned upper and lower pieces for the -16.

I picked up some 36mm Itr from spindles . Using these in order to run Rsx type s axels.

Will get new pads and the front and rear calipers will be powder coated a light silver/grey

Any opinion on brake pads to get? Oem or what?

Here is a little update! Didnt think i would get kpro this soon

Well the red recaro’s finally sold!

My dog took a nap on it while no one was home.

I have been so busy with school but next Friday starts my break from school for a week so going to try to get the car ready for paint. I have been slacking!

Recently got a spoon wheel with a quick release. Still need some more parts to finish the interior off but this was one of the major ones I needed. I was sick of that stock wheel.

I was pretty bored so I was messing with my camera for a bit so sorry for some many pics

As of right now the bay is still not ready for paint yet. Still have some decent amount of sanding to do. I just need some motivation and some time to do it. Have been busy with school and other stuff.

I would like to order my fittings for my brake line tuck so all the holes will be made before paint.

Decided to take off the old suspension so I can sell it and get some money toward some new ones.

Going with AMR coil overs 12k front 10k rear

5479694820_0b837caa13_z.jpg

The rear bolt was rounded and seized in the bushing. So this 15 min job took way longer then I planned on.

Other side it was the same thing

5479695562_1e6740999e_z.jpg

Finally all off! Will be selling these to a local after I clean up some of the dirt on them

Here are some updates i had just didnt have time to post!

Found a pretty good deal on some wheels. Something a little different then the ITR wheels.

They were pretty dusty and had some brake dust caked on there

Before

5595591140_3def6b9aa9_z.jpg

Little curbage I found nothing major. Few little nics or scratches (might get them powdercoated in white or do them in teal. This would be later I have more important things to get done first)

I was messing around with my brake and clutch line set up a bit.
1inch Brake master and s2k clutch master.

5616570167_e70b2e4e60_z.jpg

The clutch line will be tucked the best I can. Plan to run a hard line from the CM to the bulk head right above it.

5617155154_e3c5498dce_z.jpg

A second hard line will be used from the inside to the next bulk head underneath the fender (ignore the duct tape and softline was testing to see if one line could reach)

The next hard line will be run up through the larger hole
5616571345_d6a6cdb784_z.jpg

It will then come out here (need to make a little hole)
5616571345_d6a6cdb784_z.jpg

Plan to put a bulk head here so I can run a soft line from the other side to the slave cylinder

5617162538_d687d682cd_z.jpg

Pic of the other side where the last bulk head will go for the soft line.
5616578895_1c9d374414_z.jpg

Now on to the brakes
I need to order a bunch more fittings before I can bend all the lines. My plan for the lines is to run a 90 banjo and a straight banjo for the lines.

5617158108_3ec5e87993_z.jpg

I plan to put the bulk heads here instead of placing them on the fire wall in the usual spot that everyone else does. They are a lot more hidden and out of the way here. I put the pedal assemble in to check to see if it would hit anything and there are no problems.

5616574503_a88e13bb83_z.jpg

Picked up spoon duracan shift knob. It’s a 5 speed which matches my EP3 trans. If I get a type s trans Ill just order a 6 speed sticker.

I need to figure out a way to get the piston out of my ITR caliper so I can get it off to powder coating.

5830877533_34bbe8b701_z.jpg

Was rearranging my room so I had to move my bumper and collection of lips (black lip is my brothers for his 97 coupe)

I picked up a silver CTR lip from a pal from solfresh. It’s in better condition than my blue one so I will prob sell the blue one soon.

5831425792_1a9c0aa869_z.jpg

Picked up few lengths of brake lines
5831427140_fa35ecf2ba_z.jpg

Here are the fittings i ordered for my brake lines and tucked clutch line....hope i got everything i need!!

Was bored so I put some of the fittings to get an idea on how its gunna look while I wait for the flare tool.

For the brake booster line I will prob weld a -6 AN fitting so I can do a nice clean AN lines
Once I order that fitting and get it welded on need to give it a fresh coat of paint!
5865191719_807ccb03ba_b.jpg

Something similar to this
5865186389_3fc20dc15e_z.jpg

Also drilled out all the SRS stuff so I can mount the prop valve here.
Need to make a hole for the engine harness still underneath here

5865187055_053790ef8d_z.jpg

Started to mess with removing the piston from the calipers

Pic of caliper by it self

By placing the air hose in the hole where the banjo fitting goes in it forces the piston out.( I would suggest using a rag or something to prevent damaging the piston when it comes out.)
5851575648_e55c72a55d_b.jpg

First one came out in one try!!
5851024421_e95ee38d7b_b.jpg

No piston

5851575648_e55c72a55d_b.jpg

Removed all the old rubber seals. Will be replacing all 4 calipers rubber seals and sliders

5851580434_d2aa472914_b.jpg

The second Caliper was not so nice for me I used the same process as earlier but this one would only come out about ¾ the way. I tried to recompress the piston back inside to try again and no luck. I got a little mad so I decided to come back another day on it. Talked to a friend he said it might have a bit of rust slowing it down from coming out.

5851579334_7b45e3b201_b.jpg

Went back next day used a bit of heat and some wd40 and it came right out. There was a bit of rust in there which I need to clean out.

I will be sanding the calipers down to become a lot smoother and not have the veined look to them.

5865192895_046d96cb1c_b.jpg

Looking into powdercaoting them a similar color to the rears. (rears will be done once I get the bay painted need some sort of brakes)

5865193375_7cc4a927f6_b.jpg

Started on one of them, was a lot of dirt and grim on them and some deep rust on them

5865194755_ea35f15437_b.jpg

Close up almost there
5865747678_5126552c27_b.jpg

Took some time today to take apart the dc2 subframe and steering rack.

Removed the sway bar and the A arms

5851042551_46e214b236_b.jpg

Will have to order new bushings and some endlinks for the sway bar too

Here is the bare subframe which will get powder coated a semi gloss black as well as many of the other suspension pieces

5851585396_46ebd59c5e_b.jpg

The steering rack will prob be powder coated. Will have a write up soon on deleting powersteering in the rack....not looping

5851587446_140253f168_b.jpg

Will be doing new tie rod ends inner and outer as well as the boots.
Will be ordering a bunch of new bolts since the ones I have are a bit rusty damn north east!!!

Okay now for some real pics of the new goodies!

5851110447_90b7254ea1_b.jpg

Yes they are real! There are a ton of kids in my area that have knock offs
5851673068_c74905b9b6_b.jpg

Regamasters are one of my all time favorite set of rims ( next to silver CPR’s)! Always wanted a set and a good deal came up so I decided to pick them up. I traded my USDM itr wheels and cash for these

They are on 205/ 40/ 16 prada spec 2 tires. Not the tires I would specifically want but they are practically new so it was alright.

5851664064_014da55809_b.jpg

The rims are not the most mint in the world they seem to be the original finish. Few nicks here and there but overall im happy. Really didn’t expect to get rims but couldn’t pass up the deal. Some still have the original valve stem and inner barrel stickers.

I found some Rare Regamaster Evo center caps for 5x114.3 from a local northeaster !

They need a little bit of work but picked them up for a good price. Will prob try and see what I can do to make them look better if not will prob send them somewhere to be repolished.

I think they look pretty good on the wheels it hides the old ugly dust caps in the rear and the axle nuts in the front. Here is an example of what they look like on a car.

Regas010.jpg

Drilled some holes in my engine bay which I hate doing but has to be done

This hole is for the engine harness this hole will be right near the subframe and rear mount. The harness will not be seen as much in this location. The extra hole that is there was from the old owner and the b series harness

I received my Suja1/ Pic bushing kit

Little info

Complete replacement Hard Rubber Bushings. Uprated hardness rating (20-40% stiffer than stock) ensures greater longevity when paired with stiffer shocks and springs, stickier tires and the demands of competition use.

My only complaint would be no labels for the bushings I know where a majority of them go but some bushings look similar

5945373668_d641ecc09d_z.jpg

This order was a custom order I placed with Suja 1. Since my hatch has an eg/dc subframe and LCA I needed to place a custom ekk2 order from them. For others interested in this just make a phone call and they will take care of you!

They have great customer service there I had some problems with paypal (stupid iphone!) and they helped me solve it all!

5944817447_13581f0169_z.jpg

5944818123_6d70f07d73_z.jpg

Started to get some pieces ready for new bushings and paint or powder coat.
Started with the front LCA.
Forgot to take a pic of the before but I got the center collars out with some force and some heat.

5994186763_716b1e9556_b.jpg

Next step using the good old sawall to cut the outer collar of the bushing

5995733943_b9c9030bc3_b.jpg

Made two slices with the saw and then used a hammer and screw driver to fold the collar up so it can be taken out.

5996293732_14da628a75_b.jpg

All out!
5995737679_0d63ce0406_b.jpg

Now I need to sand blast them as well as a whole pile of other parts.

Picked up something new for my car…….i think I have a problem with seats cant stick with one set for long for some reason. This will be the 6th set of seats in the car not counting stock and a spare set of ITR’s I acquired

I could not pass up the deal on the Pole Positions so jumped on it. I sold the SPG’s soon after

No rips in them just a few scratches on the rear fiber glass which I think I can get out.

One thing I need to do is adjust the seat cover a bit it is not sitting correctly and the has come out where the harness holes are simple fix! Need to wash them also to bring the fabric back to life a bit nothing woolite can’t fix!

Can see the last bend to the bulk head here. Line secured down so its not going any where
6084167427_998a5de334_b.jpg

Here is the bulk head on the frame rail with the soft line that will go to the clutch slave cylinder. So you will only see about a 3ft sections of soft line in the bay.
6084159019_060952e834_b.jpg

Only thing left to do is make the line under the dash to connect to the bulk head that goes under the fender. Might need to modify the metal on the side of the dash but will get to that soon.
I still need to finish up the rest of the brake lines.

Sorry for the lame update school started up again last week so things are a little slow.

The hardware on the side mounts and the seat rails were pretty rusty and mix matched so I went to home depot and got some new ones.
OLD and NEW

The fabric where the harness goes through was hanging down so I decided to take care of it since it bothered me!

6084285587_cb488fee79_b.jpg

Just need to take off these pieces here to get underneath. Then just stretch the fabric and put it back on the glued area.
6084831844_0dc1dd6927_b.jpg

The seat brackets are a bit beat up and slight rusty so decided to sand blast and powder coat them

Sent a few other things to get s

Quick teaser of what I have been working on a bit on the side. Have started to create a full write up on it. Once I am done I will post it for other to view!

IA Baltimore was fun! Saw few old friends havent seen in a while!
Meet motivated me to want to get some things dont on my car.

Decided to switch up my wing on the hatch. My original plan was to get a OEM CTR wing because i was tired of the 3rd brake light on it. Well my plan changed when I got a message from JDMBrad and he said he was selling his mugen wing for a good deal and it was already painted VSM!
So decided to pick it up as a birthday gift for myself last month! My first Mugen part !

6038524577_ae950189b3_b.jpg

6038522429_c847271654_b.jpg

Condition is great no scratches or flaws in it really. It has the wiring for the 3rd brake light on the mugen wing so that pretty cool .

The badge has some extra glue on it im guessing from when it was put back on after paint will prob clean it up the best I can without doing any damage.

Took care of some parts being sand blasted dc2 front lca and suspension forks. North east caused some deep rust on these so took a little more time on them then I thought.

Found a deal on some F7 Lca’s so I woke up early and took a drive out to CT to pick them up. Was sell worth the drive for the price. These things have like 200 miles at most on them. No need to even clean them up when I bought them! Few more bushings are now useless for me to replace from the PIC kit.
Might still replace all the oem stuff with the PIC bushings just to have them.

Well that manifold didn’t last too long…………

Brand new in the box RRC manifold! Picked up a manifold for a friend of mine as well. Could not turn down the price so I sold the RBC and adapter.

I am selling the type s throttle body to pick up a hybrid racing 70 or 74mm depending what motor set up I am going with so I have time for that.

Meet up with my pal Joeham. To pick this up!

How it looked on his car

3439506342_14f378e0a8_b.jpg

I really don’t think the red will look good on my car. I might get it powder coated black or silver to make it a lot more subtle.

I am hoping that there are not clearance issues with the exhaust I have seen some people have problems with the endlinks hitting on 3” mufflers which I will most likely have.

Found out that the seat brackets on my pole positions don’t fit how I want they seem to rub against the arm rest. Will prob get some new brackets or figure something out to fix that situation.

Still have to wait a bit for the bay to be painted. My painter is in between shops right now and has some other jobs to finish up first then my car will be in there soon after. Need to wrap up a few small things left to finish in the bay. Bit of sanding, Make some hole for the brake lines , finish the front headlight harness, Mount the tucked rad as well.

Picked up these mirrors locally, they are Vision DC mirrors. I am unsure if I like them or not.
I have seen a few ek’s with them on and some look good and some look bad.
Most that have the mirrors have a very aggressive look to them to be able to put them off.
They are on eg/dc plates right now so I can’t really try them on. I doubt they mirrors are practical for using on the streets. Thought can’t say much about the CTR mirror since they are ment for RHD cars.

I ended up selling the mirrors to put that money toward a motor for the car. Have to keep my priorities straight!

Here is the most recent update.

Well I decided that building a motor was not the best idea right now. I want to drive the car this summer so I decided to keep it simple and get a stock motor. I could always build a motor on the side and still drive the car.
I found locally a k20z1 out of a crashed RSX Type-S with 42k on it.
The k20z1 has the 4.7 FD and slightly more aggressive cams then the k20a2.

Here is a pic of the motor next to my new tool box.

6799405847_5742cc5123_b.jpg

The motor will get a bunch of new parts installed on it. I need to replace the crank pulley do to this one being chipped up and a bit rusty.
6799409883_8bf948fcaf_b.jpg

The one other major issue is this damage on the trans from the accident. Will just get a new outer case to replace the damaged one!
6799411391_d9a0e3a70f_b.jpg

Also have the 36mm type s axles which I will be running.
They will need a rebuild which is not a big deal

6799415031_338b6890d0_b.jpg

6799416397_855e99907c_b.jpg

On the motor I will be replacing misc old and worn hoses, the thermostat, water pump and order a bunch of new bolts as well to freshen it up. Need to clean the motor once its nice out again! Over the weekend i hope to remove all the mics unneeded brackets and accessories

The other thing I picked up recently was an autopower roll bar.
This is one of the old models but will do just fine for what I want. I found this locally so it was a pretty good deal . The car is going to be a world of difference now with new bushings , new coilovers (which I need to order), roll bar and better sway bars then I had previously.

I will powder coat the roll cage a nice durable black.

Since I sold my regas a month or so ago I was on the hunt for some wheels. Came across these and couldn’t say no.

They are 16x7 +42. I need to order bronze center caps and some new black Volks valve stems and caps.

Took some time to strip the motor down and take off some of the stuff I don’t need. It needs a real good cleaning!

Head is real clean in side which is a great!

Took the trans off to see the damage to the case. The engine cradle was pretty mangled up from the accident saw some slght damage when the motor was taken out didn't think it was this bad. Need to find a new case

Met up with a friend to take his Brand new Hytech 4-2-1 header from him since he decided to part ways with his project.
Sorry for so many pics this thing is just so sick! The welds are amazing I almost don’t want to even put this on the car.

Recently took off my rear trailing arms so I can take out the old bushings and put my New PIC bushings in as well as paint the trailing arms. Not much left actually on the car besides some wires and few interior parts. Getting tired of taking stuff off the car I really cant wait to put some stuff on the car!

I took off my rear trailing arms and pressed out the rear bushing.
I put two coats of POR15 on them and then pressed in the PIC/Suja 1 Rear trailing arm bushings.
So no before pics of them they were rust and dirt just scuffed them down the best I could.

Also found a good deal on a Mugen ECU stay. I need to find some bolts/studs to mount the ecu to the stay.

Not sure if I will mount it on the pass side floor or not might try and get a bit creative with it. Will have to see when the time comes to mount it.

Its been a while since I touched my bay. I drilled the last 2 or 3 holes for the brake line tuck that I needed. Bay is all sanded down and ready for a few misc holes to be welded and lay some seam sealer down. Had to throw some 4 lug front spindles and old ek subframe on so I can move the car to paint. Put on my 5 lug rear trailing arms bc they were all together.

Ended up mounting it to the bumper support. Cut a few holes and used some spacers to keep the tabs from bending. Rad deff is not going anywhere its real sturdy.

Placed the fan on to see how they would fit. Need to figure out the wirering situation for them. Not sure if I should splice them together to make one plug and don’t know if I need to put a relay in there or not. I will be mounting the Over flow tank right near the driver side head light just have to figure out some form of bracket to keep it up.

My AMR Coils I am still waiting on. Recently just ordered front and rear camber kits from AMR so hopefully all of that will be here soon!

Okay so updates might have to be cell phone pics for a little while my computer needs to be fixed so can't upload any recent pics*

Well finally got the car on the ground it hasn't been on all fours since 2010 or so. Borrowed stock ek subframe and 4 lug spindles bc I have yet to order my front wheel bearings. (messy garage when you have 3 cars and tons of parts in a two car garage !)

Put the hood and places the bumper on so I can see how the rad looks. Need to lower the rad about an inch so it sits nicer in the front grill for better air flow and looks as well.*

Hopefully this weekend i can get the car trailered over to the shop. *

Started ordering a few more things for the car so it can start to be re assembled. AMR told me next week or so the coils should be done and shipped along with my front and rear camber kits.*

Hopefully placing and order for my engine harness and few other things from wire-worx.*

I dropped off my comptech subframe brace and few other misc pieces to be powder coated. Have to get some more cash to do the subframe valve cover and a few other misc brackets and pieces.*
