Hey all,
just thought i would share my experience on cleaning the oem red recaros.

I used this how to guide from Honda Tech:

When cleaning them, i removed the seats from the rails and set them down, being in the UK i used Woolite for delicates (Pink one)
after following the guide my seats have come out a lot lot lot better than what i started with, I will follow up with some pictures tomorrow :)

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Woolite works really well. I jet washed my old Recaros, they took a while to dry so definitely a summer job.

I did mine a couple days ago cause they had some awful stains from I assume denim or trousers. Wet vac etc worked a charm on bringing the colour back but not the stains. Tried woolite but same again. Ended up using the turtle wax cleaner with the brush to get it off.

I'd definitely not recommend jet washing, as it will cause inner frames to rust..

It will maybe cause a bit of surface rust I guess? I didn’t have a wet vac so it was the only way to get them really clean. They came out brand new and once dry felt exactly the same as before. The only thing I wouldn’t do is get too close to the fabric as the jet might damage it. I had the car for three years after that and in that time I never noticed anything wrong with them.
