Not so the car is 'stripped' mainly so I could pop out the rear quarter rubbing strips.

But while I was there I sealed the rear arches from inside, there was only some slight surface rust. I rubbed I down with some 150 then etch primed and then sealed it.

Getting there slowly but surely!

Tonight I we got some more done on the civic, removed the front wings as its having new wings and these have been rolled then filled and a dinted all across the top.

Previous owner had drove it without arch liners in. I had refitted them within days of owning but when I removed the wings there was plenty of crud so washed the crap away first!

The then got the car in the ramp an rubbed down any slight surface rust, then etch primed those areas. Let it dry then waxoyled

Now iv ever really been a fan of flush/tucked bays but the headlight wire tuck makes the engine bay in ek's look a lot cleaner. Iv always said what's point when bonnet is always shut but while wings are off I thought I may aswell do it and I'm happy with how it looks. The strut tips and slam panel will be getting painted also.

Amazing picture quality from iPhone as always!

While I was doing this Matt got a plate made up to get rid of ye wiper hole in the boot lid properly and prepped the bonnet and A pillars and round the aerial where there was some lacquer peel.

Rested the bonnet back on the car to stop it getting damaged by apprentices at work!

Hopefully should be going into paint a week on Saturday. Buy we shall see lol

Jealous of he progress your making Craig
Can't wait til it's finished to be out in it

On tonight's agenda was to mask up and primer the repaired dints and to rub down the strut tops and slam panel ready for a flash of paint also.

Engine bay prep, this would of been easier to do when the engine was out but my mate who's doing the work wasn't available at the time when I had a Friday Saturday Sunday Monday where work was shut to get the engine done.
