Chris's EG6 SiRII Build

think alot of people are starting to realise that these cars wont be around forever and its almost up to us to ensure they are, thats the way i see it, i see so many being broken for parts, perfectly good cars aswell and the shells end up in the bin, before we know it they will be few and far between in years to come.

think ive seen your thread but ill jump on and refresh my memory :)

atm just to restore it and have a good shell to build on i have a few ideas rattling around my head to be honest with regards to things like engine choice/gearsets/brakes etc but as i said restore and try and get the car as light as possible before begining the build up :)

So good to see a well maintained, clean EG. As you've mentioned, give it a couple of years and EGs will be a very rare sight on our roads.

Cheers @Saqib hopefully when its built ill make it to a few meets last time i was out at one you were there im sure

Was down the unit today to get the sills and wings done. Same process as before. Next up will be the stripdown of the underside and prep that for underseal :)

Heres a few pictures.

First sill grinded/rubbed down primed twice and sealed twice.

Also gave the brackets that the front bumper and indicators bolt on to a rub down and paint

That pretty much concludes todays work, next up will be getting everything ready for the rest of the underseal and sending all the arms/subframe etc off for powdercoating.

Comments welcome, cheers, Chris :)
