Cel code 15; Ignition Output Signal

Hiya guys, just doing a b18c swap in my ek9 and came across this cel code. Car turns over but won't start :(
 
code 15 is:
Ignition Output Signal missing or defective ignition output signal
 
I know what the cel is dude, but what the hell is it? I have swapped ecus over and also the dizzies over (from a working b16b just to get her started!) but the problem persists and nothing still :(
 
...from your other post buddy, did you wire this up yourself?
 
Check wiring and connections to distributor. Check its getting power basically...
 
I just swapped the loom over from my b16b

I checked for continuity, and there seems to be no problem? All wires are fine..??
 
Mines a prefacelift ek9, which is obd2a? And the integras a jdm 96er so obd2a aswell..
 
Also was going to ask, could it be the immobiliser? Its an aftermarket one..
 
Yeah it could well be. Check how its wired up.Try and remove it if possible.
 
Any thing ignition related. If your not getting ignition you won't get fuel. Have you checked that the yellow & black wire at the distributor is getting power ?
 
I will check that out again today but they all seemed to get power. No I'm deffo getting fuel as the fuel filter wasn't fully tight after checking a few days ago and it pissed out lol :)
 
I mean fuel as in your injectors opening, not as in your pump priming the fuel systerm. A scope would come in handy here. Have you removed the plugs with them on the leads and checked that there getting a spark ?
 
Tbh, i have done further research on this case and the same thing im sure is happening to mine. The ignition output signal means that somethings not letting it send spark but it is getting fuel..

They say its not plug or leads related.. more to do internally in the dizzy (checked) or wiring (checked)..
