Car looks great now!!

IMO if you went for the H22 over the B18 you would miss the revs and noise/ fun factor of the B18 engine. I had an ATR with a few bolt ons and even though it had plenty of torque, the engine bored me. If it was replacing a b16 it would make more sense but the only replacement for the B18 is a k20 in my eyes

Love this. Do the skirts go deep under the floor then? Looks so mean with the cut up bumper

I'd love a k20, but the conversion cost still outweigh the gain. I do love the sprightly response of a b18, but the torque is a letdown! I'd love to see what a proper h2b would be like especally as I have a 4.9fd in my box :)

they don't go right go right under no, but the do fold at the ends so it doesn't look weird. They also extend into where the standard door shut goes! It does look great, I just can't wait for the wing to finish it off. It looks a bit naked without a spoiler.

Thanks again for the love guys

Brad

You ever see performance autoworks integra racecar? That was h2b and a right weapon!

So what benefit do the skirts have?

There are loads of serious race & time attack builds running h2b, it is a great idea. I ran a b20 in my old Crx and absolutely loved it, the extra torque is what's missing for sure!

The skirts have no real benefit, apart from they look good :) they are super light though and part of the aero package from special project Motorsport / PCI

I've got the same skirts but an inch longer.
The idea is to keep air from getting underneath the car. The air underneath the car is traveling fast which means it's low pressure, air above the car is slower (high pressure) this combination works together to push/pull the car down to the floor.
The splitter limits the air going under the car and forces it over. Making the low pressure lower and the high pressure higher.
The skirts stop air from pulling in at the sides. Maintaining the effect from the splitter and keeping the air underneath the car less turbulent.
That's the idea atleast lol

I haven't update my build thread for time….

But I think I might actually be finished! I swapped out the special projects lip for a spoon, the P1 just sat far to low. It was pretty much undrivable! I also finally took delivery of the j's wing, a cool 5 1/2 month wait but it arrived in one piece. The quality of it is amazing.

anyway, here is some pics of it finished. Its come a long way from when first bought it 4 years ago!

Miss the p1 lip.
Suppose if your road driving all the time it's a pita

Looking Fantastic now!! So functional looking

The spoon lip does look better in my eyes, what splitter setup did you use below it?

Thanks peeps! Really chuffed with all the positive comments from everyone :) I think everything complements well!

Gutted about the p1, looked great and was definitely very functional but you needed 17" wheels at a min for enough clearance. I had just over an inch clearance on 15's. New setup with the spoon lip is using the byc splitter brackets off eBay :) super cheap and strong using 12mm marine ply for the splitter blade (epoxy'd) to make sure its waterproof
