Right guys, if I can get a decent EK9 drawn up in CAD, who'd be up for one of my metal etch blueprints?

If you haven't already seen them, here's some examples of ones I've already made:

I'd now be looking to offer a standard EK9 version at £125 delivered to you. If you would like a custom specification adding for any modifications, your chassis/engine codes as the drawing numbers, please add £5. If you want aftermarket wheels adding, please add £10.

There'll be slots available in the border for names (where you'd normally find the engineers, designers etc). You can add whatever you like here, whether it's who built it, drives it, crashed it, maintains it or whatever. Choice is yours, and I'll give some more details on that when I get something resembling a sample image.

I can't unfortunately do any kind of bodywork modifications, they're just a ballache and not worth the time.

I can probably put the EK9.org logo on them if people would like it and RVM says it's OK (I'll make a donation to the forum in return :win:), but I can't legally put the Honda logo on or I'll be sued until my face goes blue apparently.

So basically, who's in for a group buy? You're probably looking at about a couple of weeks to delivery as I need to make them up and they need to be manufactured in batches of 6.

Pricing again:

Standard EK9 £125 delivered
Custom Spec +£5
Aftermarket wheels +£10

what are the dimension of the sheet? would be very cool all framed up.

They're 400 x 300mm, roughly A3 size.

I include a hanging kit which allows them to be wall mounted without a frame, the metal stands proud of the wall by about 10mm, a bit like those 'glass art' pieces you can buy. This casts a shadow behind the metal and makes it stand out, making it clear it's not just a poster. :nice:

Other Hondas available:

EG6
S2000
CRX
Del Sol
UK DC2
NSX

Not quite ready but probably available soon

DC5

I'm sooooo tempted by this right now :S great work. Would the EK9 have key features indicated like the E30 and Ducati above? (suspension information, LSD, Seam welded chassis etc?)

On the serious note, this is well good! Will you be doing both facelift and Pre facelift? And when will you expect to start making them and start to take in the funds/ deposits?

I like this idea. Custom information like chassis numbers etc? Nice remembrance piece for my ek9!

Absolutely, and you know how much I know about the EK chassis too, I'll have trouble finding space for it all. I've been working on a cutaway diagram of a Torsen type LSD that could go on it too... :D:nice:

Yes, I'd hopefully be able to offer facelift and prefacelift, I've got the images for both.

Readiness, to be honest I can probably get it done in the next two weeks. If you can't make this run, I can do them any time, provided I have 6 orders to fill up the workbed. The workbed doesn't need to be identical pieces so if I've got people waiting from other forums I'll let you know here.

Oh absolutely, I put numbers like that on the drawing border where you'd normally expect to find the part/drawing number on a technical drawing. :nice:

Here's a shitty phone pic of what they look like on the wall. No frame required!

I can now offer photographs of you car in full colour, printed directly into the anodised metal too.

Price £99.

If anyone would like both the blueprint and a metal photo print of their car, I'll do both for £200 delivered. :nice:

As a further option for the blueprints, I am now able to offer them on a background matching the paint colour of your car, with contrasting details. Maybe not brilliant for championship white, as it'll just end up looking like paper again, but a cool option none the less.

Interested in this.

What size would the photo print be?

Same as the blueprint, 400 x 300. :nice:

I should add (as it appears to have caused confusion elsewhere) that this is not like the 'printed aluminium' you can find commonly on the internet. Those are photoprinted paper/vinyl which is bonded to aluminium, and you can see multiple layers of different material on the cross section.

What I am offering is a brand new process where the coloured dye is applied directly into the anodised layer by a specialised inkjet printer. The cross section is simply the 1.5mm aluminium, 25 micron anodised layer and that's it. I'm now having to outsource to the Netherlands to the company that invented the process, it's that new! :D

These blueprints can now be done as white on blue as well as white on black. They can be any colour combination you can think of to be honest, though blue/black are proper blueprint style.

Will take a photo and a blueprint when you get the required numbers Kozy. :nice:

Brilliant stuff! :nice:

Getting near now numbers wise, but got to wait for a sample from the new processor to check that the colour processing is as good as I need to be. Likely to be another couple of weeks before I'm ready to go.

How much is one with a type r on it??

If you want an EK9 with custom spec and wheels, £140 delivered. Standard EK9, £125. :nice:

Right guys, EK9 is nearly done, if you want to fire across some technical details you want adding, parts, figure that sort of thing, now is the time. :nice:

Still going to be a while until I get them made as I am still trying to get a sample to the new processor, but I'm struggling with the new format and getting colours converted right.

Also a square on photo of the wheel if you have aftermarket ones. Needs to be from a distance but zoomed in (to get rid of perspective).

Getting there...
