Got my wheels in being refurbished and powdercoated at the moment.

Just wondering what you would all recommend to seal/wax them with?

They are white so would like a decent protection on them :)

Browse detailingworld.co.uk autogeek you will get some good info on that

Seconded for carboncollective. One bottle of platinum wheels has been able to coat 2 set of wheels, exhaust and callipers before it ran out. You must have seen it on my Instagram so you know what its like. Sealed my OEM wheels the day I got them back from powdercoating and still going strong.

If you do get some I would recommend getting some extra applicator pads.

GTechniq C5 is the best! It's about £20 for a bottle (that will do roughly 5 wheels) But if applied correctly it will last well over 12 months.

Ordered this last night mate and bought 10 extra applicator pads :). Seems your Instagram and it looks like it works very well

C5 is the original Mac Daddy . I have found CC to be better value as it has gone much further than I expected it to. Both still very good products.

Yeah I was impressed, well I have been so far! You should only need to clean them with normal car soap as well so is worth while.

Just follow the instructions and you'll do fine.

Also worth getting some IPA or something similar to degrease the surface before applying. Unless you're already ahead of me? ;)

Nope I'm not ahead of you haha!

I'm not used to this detailing stuff. Usually just wash the car with decent shampoo and that's it

Ah ok! Treat it as if your prepping the surface for paint. Same principle anyway. The cleaner the surface is the better it will bond and will give you the best longevity. So any IPA solution (Gtechniq do what's called Panel Wipe) is the one I usually go for.

Would prepaint wipes work as well?

They should do I guess as long as they do degrease the surface properly. I was not overly impressed with the ones from Halfrauds when I've used them before.
