earlier today the car was running and now won't start. Befor it died it sounded like it was Miss firing and then died out, tried to restart and won't start now I've got fuel as I can smell it not burning whenengine not firing so what do I check next ?

Does it sound like it's turning over ok or sound irregular?

As above check ignition system is working. Dodgey lead, coil, even the screw for the rotor arm falling out and causing a mr frosty

Just check the spark plugs n no spark so how do I check the dizzy

No spark on any plug?
Most likely the coil bud.

I checked 2 of the four plugs and both wet on tips so defo fuel getting to it but still no spark , so how can I check the coil or is it possible

In fact stupid question but is the coil the part what the ht leads connect to? As when ya saying coil I'm thinking coilpack

Pull a plug out, connect back to the ign lead, rest on metal and crank the engine over. If it doesnt spark then we know its an ign issue.
Not sure how to further test the coil but itll be that

The coil is in the dizzy on these. Youll need to strip the dizzy down.

I cant stress this next part enough, you MUST make sure the dizzy goes in with the same timing it did when you took it off. Because your boosted over advancing the ignition timing could proove disasterous

I've tested the plugs with lead out connected to metal no spark,

What part is the dizzy the black box which ht leads are connected or the part that connects to cam

The whole thing makes up the dizzy, id suggest having someone else do this for you if your unsure.

Coil can be replaced on its own,

OE JAPAN IGNITION COIL Honda Civic Integra 92-00 EK4 EG6 EK9 B16A B16B DC2 B18C

Same with the cap and rotor arm but as jesse said be careful when refitting everything and make sure it all goes back in the same position

Theres afew guides online to swapping the coil out of the dizzy. Its far cheaper than replacing the whole unit
