Hello everyone I recently bought a b18c4 complete swap. Everything fits into ek but the engine was mounted on eg previously. I have an engine harness that was been modified by the guy because the engine is from an ukdm car rhd and the guy mounted it on a eudm eg and had to lenghten some wires. However i didnt quite understood how he did put an obd2a engine harness on an obd1 car. Anyway i was looking for someone to tell me what engine harness to use original or not doesnt matter. Ive read that you can use an obd2b ek4 harness because my car is a facelift but they are quite rare, pricy and impossible to find. Anyone has some sugestions?

You're going to want to use an OBD2B harness because facelift EKs have the ECU plugs split differently than OBD1 and OBD2A. OBD1 & OBD2A have 3 connectors from the engine harness to the ECU while the OBD2B has 2 ECU connectors from the engine side and the third connector comes from the dash harness. It is an absolute mess to try to wire it yourself.

Hi, Ive fount a obd2b harness from an ek4 99-00 but it has 3 ecu connectors: 1 grey, 1 green and 1 blue. I think its good because i compared it with a 96-98 one. Correct me if Im wrong

The green one doesn't plug into the ECU, it plugs into a female connector near the ECU area of the passenger side kick panel. The 3 ECU connectors are 2 grays and 1 blue. The reason why that OBD2B engine harness is missing a gray connector is because of what I told you before. That third connector comes from your dash harness which is different from OBD1/OBD2A which have all 3 ECU connectors at the engine harness. Because you said you have the facelift model which is OBD2B, then the engine harness you mentioned that you found is correct.

There's tutorials if you look hard enough. If I recall, you do something to bypass it on the ECU board.

Not sure how that relates to the P9K. Doesn't hurt to open it up and see what you're working with.

Ive seen this post before but it wasnt saying if it works for p9k. I’ll try anyway

I doubt Honda would have made the ECU majorly different. Just try anyway. Close the ECU back up if it looks too different.
