Got the Advan rg1's back on with a fresh set of Advan Neova AD08RS's all round. Also changed out the oil and oil filter using a new Hamp filter and some Fuchs titan race pro s 10w50. Money is tight with being on bloody furlough so no fancy bits for a little while but finally enjoying the car!

Love that background! Quick question can your meisters go much lower than that or are they near maxed out?

Way lower dude, I've raised it 10mm all round recently to give me more clearance and better travel but they can go much lower.

How come you went with 10w50 instead of the standard spec?
Mostly due to the age and mileage of the bottom end and the fact I'm having issues with it being a bit smokey. Heard very good things from knowledgeable people so thought I'd give it a try. Seems to be making a bit of a difference.

Whats the mileage on the engine/bottom end?
Circa 160k, not a clue if it's ever been touched or not. Only thing I did was fit a new oil pickup when I fitted the Moroso sump. Will get fully rebuilt at some point in my ownership.

Had a bit of an issue recently. After a good blast I was on the way home and brakes near enough failed, pedal to the floor but still just about stops. After looking into it for a while I tried replacing the one way valve to the brake servo, no difference. An intermittent loss of pedal pressure and no leaks so decided to order up a new Nissin master cylinder. Removed the old one and sure enough, buggered.

An excuse to use my Snap-on pipe clamps I haven't used yet lol.

Very easy job to be honest, wish new cars were this easy to work on, christ.

Decided to do a full brake fluid flush aswell so opted for some Motul RBF 600 after reading good things! Bled the brakes a few times with the engine running and issue is now sorted and the car is braking better than ever! Will be doing a full brake upgrade in the future but happy for now with the issue solved.

Haha thanks brother!! Will absolutely need to make the trip down to see you at some point. Planning to meet Danny at some point in his EK9. My list of bits I still want/need to buy is huge haha so plenty more to come! Yours is looking great on the ce's man.

Not an update but some sick photos taken by my mate! So stoked to have some photos of this quality taken of the car. More to come after a few improvements. Planning to get the wheels refurbished soon and will be trying to get them as close to original as possible. Anyway, enjoy the photos!

That interior shot oh man you got me here waiting for my car to come out the shop check out my post bro, nearly finish on the H-Swap

Not a massive update but plenty pics!!

Been having an intermittent issue with the speedo on my EK9 like many do. After changing the VSS twice and no luck.

20200816_163134.jpg

And great confusion with the pickup wheel sizes due to the spoon diff. Eventually fitted a good VSS but fault was still present and all wiring good. Went ahead and replaced the speedo converter chip and issue is now resolved, chuffed. Also replaced a load of instrument cluster bulbs when I had the cluster out to replace the chip, much much better but no pics sadly! Half of them were blown though.

Got new clips for the spoon ht leads and fitted them and tidied up the engine bay a bit.

Yes I need to do something with the vtec solenoid cover. Planning on a chasing j's cover from the US, soon. Also really want to add spoon radiator hoses! Now for the big update, finally pulled the trigger on my dream set of wheels.....

Genuine Spoon Sports SW388 OG's. In all original finish wrapped in brand new falken azenis tyres, big fat sidewalls. Can't thank @danbo2002 enough for letting them go. Absolutely stoked. Also got a set of Project kics wheel nuts to go with them. Spigot rings and 3mm hubcentric spacers also.

Coated all the wheels in 2 coats of infinity wax ghost si02 wheel sealant.

Plenty bits to do over winter. Car will be coming off the road in the next few weeks and probably will be covered up and forgotten about for a while, while I do a bit of saving but plenty more planned! Almost forgot to add, the car now FINALLY has full interior. Recently sourced and fitted full rear interior and so stoked, makes the car that started as a rolling shell finally feel complete!!
