Looks great! I've been thinking about getting that Hybrid Shifter Lever.
How do you like it?

Thanks! Yeah it looks and feels great. Excited to see how it feels once I've properly driven the car, still have a few bits to do.

Update time! Hope everyone is doing ok in these odd times. I've been loving not having to go to work and just been out in the shed working away on the ek9. Lots of photos in this post! Best mate came up recently with his Dc5 and took some nice photos of the ek9 so here's those.

Love the photos, cool to see the two cars together aswell. Just find it mad to think both of these cars started and spent the majority of their lives in Japan and then come to be together in a shed in the north of scotland, so cool. Also great to see the ek9 outside again. After this I spent a while cleaning the inside before putting the interior in.

Needs a good clean as the car is covered in dust as are all of the interior pieces as they've been sat in the shed for ages but regardless, so happy to have the interior now in the car, feels so close to being done now! Even managed a quick first test drive, car drove fine, very loud, rattly and raw but felt amazing! Cant wait to go for a proper run! Another photo of the shifter, feels amazing out on the road. Ordered a fair few bits so hopefully they arrive soon and I can finally get this thing finished, very excited to get a nice new steering wheel fitted soon! Repainted the battery tie down today also, looks great.

(Keen eyes would notice the brand new genuine Honda battery earth cable)

Also had the car up on the ramp. Lowered the rear coilovers, cleaned the underside as best as I could and covered bits in ACF-50, tidied up all the wiring and just gave the car a general check over.

Few more afternoons at the car once all the parts I've ordered arrive and itll be ready for summer!

Looks awesome mate! super clean, love the wheels. Nice unit there too, odd times we're in and plenty of free time on my hands but no tools or space to do stuff :( lol

Thanks dude! Yeah it's very handy to have use of. Ah I know, very strange and uncertain! That's unfortunate mate.

Lowered the rear a bit, tidied up a few things and took the car for another run. It absolutely screams, love it. So raw, loud and very quick. Plenty torque aswell which I'm happy with, foot down in 5th at low revs and just moves away no bother. BUT, slight issue, the car does smoke a little under load and in vtec. Going to replace the PCV valve and check over a few things and try figure out why as it shouldnt really as it didn't previously and the motor is now healthier having had the valve guides and stem seals replaced and is very strong but been reading up on oils and might try a semi-synthetic oil rather than fully synthetic. Any advise is welcome!

Looks really good. Love the white on white type-r look. Makes me want red carpet too!

Out of curiosity why did you go C-west rear bumper when everything else is stock jdm (sorry if I missed it in the build thread)? I've always liked that kit.

Yeah i'm jealous of how clean yours is.

Regarding the oil, it's probably just left over oil from the rebuild. I'd keep using it and see if it dies down. Depends on the colour of the smoke as well tbf

I thought that but I've done two road tests now and it's still quite bad. Going to replace the PCV valve and change to a better oil and see if it improves.

Just the bumper that the car came with man! I like the way it looks but at some point in the future I'd like to change it for an original ek9 bumper.

Somebody tell this guy that pornographic photos aren't allowed here! LMAO car looks amazing broski, the dc5 is real nice but man the EK setup is a beauty

Haha thanks dude! Yeah very nice dc5, would like one at some point.

Few bits done in the last day or two. Replaced the pcv valve with a new genuine honda part but upon inspection found both the lines going to it are split so got to wait 2/3 weeks for those to arrive from japan... also changed the oil and filter. Genuine hamp filter and 10w40 castrol semi synthetic magnatec oil used.

Took for another road test and still smokes a bit in vtec so will look over a few more things but going to see if it improves after the cars been used more. Might change the oil again in the near future as I've been recommended Fuchs titan pro race 10w50 so that may be an option down the line. A couple pics of it out in the wild finally!!

Will be taking the car home soon and fitting some more bits I have for it, new personal steering wheel and hkb boss kit, mishimoto fan and fan cowl kit and a circuithero shifter plate once that arrives from america! Then plan to spend a good few days cleaning, polishing and coating everything!

Small update but big milestone, the car is finally at home in the garage after nearly two years sat in the shed!
