B16B vacuum and EVAP

mate this in circle is the intake air temperature sensor , somewhere is the plug ... :)))

So here is where I am with it. Car seems to run great, no codes.

the vacuum line from the top of the throttle body is plugged currently, but I believe it should be run to the top of the canister, no solenoid in between. I'm pretty sure this is how North American early OBD2 and OBD1 setups worked. While our emissions got more complicated in North America, the JDM EK9 is basically OBD2 in name only (it only runs one 02, lots of other OBD1 style stuff). Give that a shot and ill think you'll be good.

The large Vacuum port on the back side is for the brake booster. Easy enough.

The small vacuum port on the far drivers side (North American LHD cars driver seide) I actually used for my cruise control. I'm not sure what it would have been for on an EK9, maybe someone here can let us know.

Hooked up like above, you should be good I think, assuming your running an EK9 ECU.

And as pointed out, the sensor in the center of the manifold is the Air Temp sensor. I'm running this motor in a EM1 with a factory EM1 Air Intake tube. In that car the Air Temp sensor is in the intake arm, so I just plugged it back in as normal off the harness and left the sensor in the manifold unplugged. I plan to extend some wires and run the one in the manifold eventually.

Good luck, CA emissions is nuts. I lived there for 4 years and had trouble passing a stock 91 Civic hatch I bought down from Canada because the Refs didn't know what they were looking at.

Let me know if you needs pics or help.

Thanks for the info. I'm also running an EM1 harness in my hatch, so my IAT is in the intake pipe as well. Just wanted to make sure the intake runner sensor wasn't something emissions related.

Mine is BAR'd for a year 2000, so I just need to pass visual and an OBDII scan. I'll be using the EM1 ECU for smog purposes, and the EK9 ECU for everything else. I'll let you know if I need some pictures for the lines.

You may toss a code if you dont have the solenoid hooked up for the EVAP on the EM1 ECU, I'm not really sure. I haven't tried it
