B16B Upgrade questions

EK9 Civic Type Rx & VW Golf MK4 R32
Good morning all :)

Yes I have searched, countless times in fact and have got a solid collection of pages with really valuable resources, however, as said in my introduction thread most threads on HT are not specific to the EK9 and was hoping to get some clarification on a few items from those with longer term experience. I am fairly new to the EK platform but have had an "AP2" S2000 (yes I know it's a facelift AP1 lol) in the past and multitudes of VWs on which I do all of my own work and maintenance.

As it stands, in terms of performance mods I have a custom N1 style exhaust with a Tegiwa header, M2 whale peni5 intake, Spoon ECU and new service items such as plugs and leads. The car has recorded a 14.5 1/4 mile on Dragy at 155.63km/h with a very soft launch so it's no slouch as it stands.

Now, before I get bombarded with comments about the Spoon ECU and the need for an EMS, that's not my goal with the car, I wanted to retain the OBD2A ECU with lower vtec engagement and increased redline so the Spoon worked for my needs. I understand that any further mods may not give the best possible gains without tuning but that's a different discussion altogether, so without further ado, my questions :

1. My current Intake Manifold and TB look a bit sad, so I was researching the S2 Pro and S2 Ultra Street manifolds to add a bit of shine to the bay, however I can't see anything definitive that these intake manifolds are worth it on a B16B with minor bolt ons? I am leaning towards buying a second P73 manifold and cleaning it up nicely and potentially porting out with an S2 66mm Alpha series TB. Is the TB a waste, it's the smallest I can find but not sure it's warranted. S2 Pro would be better due to MAP relocation to the underside but at 68mm for the smallest option I fear it's too big.

2. Camshafts. Firstly I have been offered Toda A2s for the car, which will warrant valve springs and retainers, so would going for S2 Tuner stg2 not make more sense? I understand without an EMS I won't see huge gains, but really just looking to carry more power as close to 9k rpm as possible.
Secondly - Has anyone fitted S2 Tuner stg1 in an EK9? It seems they won't make more than a few hp than the CTR cams but the increased duration and minor lift might be what I want.

Spoon cams and throttle body would have been my go to, but sadly hens teeth they are LOL.

i would suggest not to waste to much money on after market stuff since the gains are very minors, i have wasted a lot of money but eventually what i saw or go for everything or remain at 1st stage of ecu intake and exhaust , everything else between them it is just a waste in the matter of gains, so i would suggest since u only want to play between these 2 mods , take a b18c intake with S2000 throttle body and u ll be happy as in after market throttle bodys maybe u ll have issues, i have a TB of skunk 2 70mm and i had 2 issues in the idle which i resolved through years, now for camshaftas i used to have skunk2 on my car , the quality is @$@$@!#@! with the 1st kilometeres they wore off and i didnt have proper gains, if u dont wanna remain at the B16B cams go for TODA with all appropriate things the japanese materials are good and i have seen toda cams with 120.000 klms and they are still like new.,
 
good day guys i just ask about engine my p16A block stock and the cyclinder head was 20 cam? now i want to switch to b18A cyclinder head did you thinks its good to upgrade? and are they fit to the stock block to my engine?im just new about things im trying to add more power a bit.i hope you guys help me out on this things

never heard changing the cylinder head , i only hear putting in a b16 , cams and springs from b18
