B16B Final Drive Options

Hi EK9.org,

I'm looking for a high final drive for my EJ6 race car to use on a standard EK9 transmission. The only valid option I see so far is a 4.9 from Gear-X, however I need something higher. Does anyone know Gear-X's official website address?

I know there is a lot more race support over in the UK and Europe for these boxes. Any other serious manufacturers making final drives for B series boxes? I'm not interested in MFactory...

I'm not looking to change out the gears, just the final drive (budgetary restriction).

Someone's been selling a 5.1fd gearbox not long ago I'm sure. Sounds like you know what you want, may I ask why you don't want Mfactory? I know their old 4.9s were prone to breaking the new ones should be much better tho.

Gear x do good final drives.. I've driven a civic with a 5.1 fd and I found it to be too high so I'd recommend the 4.9... I don't think gear x have a website of there own, you just have to go through a distributor...

I have used Gear-X products, and its quality is good. But there is small support...
It's very possible you have to buy their parts from USA and pay import duties.

As far as I know, the closest ratio on final drive pinion/gear for B16/B18 transmission they produce is 4.9.
