Hello,

Im going to biuld my EK4 hatch b16 turbo, but i don't know which is the best turbo for my requeriments. So far i have:

Wiseco 9:1 forged pistons
Eagle rod
ITR intake cam
1000cc ID inyectors
ITR ported intake manifold
Walbro 355lhp
Ferrea flat valves

and i like to reach just 300hp, so i guess that 10psi with do that.

The question is, which is the smaller turbo can i get to reach that power reducing lag.

I also need a turbo and a manifold to keep AD and PS.

Thanks in advanced.

A Garrett GT3076R (T3) would be ideal, or a high spec 28. Room for more power then when you get bored...

1000cc injectors is a bit overkill IMO. I ran 750's @ 380bhp, and even those were slightly overkill for that..

Thank you !

I read a lot from blinx9900 and he recommend the GT2860RS, GT2871RS and GT3076R
Are those similar to a t3/T04e ? Which one spools faster?

Another doubt i have:

1-I seams that the only manifold that work with a/c and p/s is the cast manifolds. Are they so bad? are there some brand witch make a significan diferent than the cheap ones?
(I want to keep a/c and p/s)

2-For 300whp, is it nessesary to upgrade the valvetrain? (my engine has 70.000 miles in good shape

3-Does a set of adjustable cam gears will help for the tuning?

The GT series turbos will spool faster than your conventional journal bearing turbo. I guess they are similar to the T3/T04E.

Cast manifolds aren't bad, just cheap cast ones are... though not always the case. You can get small log manifolds such as the Lovefab Mini Me EQ, which is designed to fit in the bay without the need to remove a/c + p/s I believe. I think that Greddy make cast turbo manifolds, have a look at those?

People have run 300whp on bone stock B16's and B18's. In many cases you'll find that stock OEM Honda parts are fine for boost, often being better than aftermarket parts anyway. An upgraded set of cams/valves/springs wouldn't hurt though! As for the adjustable cam gears... unnecessary IMO, although I have run them myself.

presicion sc34 it'll work fine and spool fast plus you have typer cams those are very good for turbo

im also currently considering going the turbo path but was wondering if a ct9 turbo of a 4efte would be good on a b16a2?

has anyone ever tried and what would be the negatives compared to popular t3/t4 turbos?

CT9=Fail on the b series
Unless you want your car to run like a deisel with the powerband between 1k-2k
Them turbos are tiny

check out PFAB log manifold its like $350 us . had it on mine ...not cast ...highly recommended

hope it helps you ... good luck with the build
