Hi, my engines in and running but I have a flash code of 14 that I believe to be the EACV, I also have a completely standard perfectly running ek4 so I swapped the EACV’s over and I still have the error code and the ek4 runs perfectly fine! So I’m guessing it’s a wiring issue, just wondered if anyone else had any information or maybe it’s something else? It’s a b16a2 in a pre face ej9 with a OBD2a wiring loom with an OBD1-OBD2a conversion harness. I’m getting one long light and then 4 quick flashes.

Cheers.

A pre-facelift EJ9 chassis is OBD2A. B16A2 is OBD2B originally. How and why is your car using an OBD1? This article might help by the way:

I'm guessing the OP is in the UK or EU. Over here the B16A2 came in OBD2A and OBD2B cars (A for pre facelift cars, and B for facelift)

Mostly likely using an OBD1 ECU like a P28 that can be chipped, as such has a jumper harness to run the ECU in the OBD2A car harness.

All sorted, there was a break in the iacv branch on my wiring loom.
