B16a2 Hesitating/Bogging

Did the engine ever work properly or problem from day one

did you use the original car harness or the one that came with engine
check / shake all jacks and harness
It could be a bad harness
Also check your alternator

I bought the engine without seeing it running so a day one problem for me. Im using a facelift ek4 sir harness. Loom seems fine. There is a dseries alternator on it, I dont think its the problem but I bought a bseries one recently so I will throw that on and see.

I really don't think that it could be the headgasket well I hope not

I put a brand new ect sensor on and it seemed to have helped slightly but the problem is still there

It has to be air or intake related
It could very well be a valve not seating correctly or a headgasket failure between two cylinders. But what makes me think not is I've got solid even compression figures.

Got valve clearances done car is running better but it's still bogging just not as bad I went over my tps idle and ignition timing today but it's not idling properly the revs bounce after blipping the throttle and then drop car starts to chug and then the idle rises to normal again don't know now tried the intake air temperature sensor and fpr and no change

I dont have mine back on the road as im just driving away at my Glanza but I'll be putting it back on the road this week. I'll report back on the state of mine. Its bizarre alright, its seems 100% fuel related the way it just holds back.

I've changed all fuel related parts it's doing my head in just makes me want to sell the car and get something newer. Now my front driver caliper is seized fs one thing after an other
