B16A2 eg hatch, D16Z6 ej hatch
Hi, sorry if this was posted before, but i couldn't find my exact situation on the forums.
So i have an eg hatch with b16a2 and a ej hatch with d16z6. I want to put the b16 into my ej
So my question is will the b16 wiring loom from the eg be compatible with my ej?
Thanks in advance.

To swap the d16z6 in the ej9 chassis, if it was the obd2a version, you should also swap an ek3/4 loom and then a conversion harness from obd2 to obd1 correct? If so the b16a2 from the eg donor car will be easy to swap in the already modified ej9 loom.

Yes it was modified to get d16z6 running. Do you mean that i won't have to take the loom out of the eg to do the engine swap? Keep in mind that i'll swap the ecu aswell. Sorry, i'm new to b series engines

92-95 (OBD1) Civics have a different wiring harness style than the 96-00 (OBD2) Civics. Easiest way to swap the D16Z6 into the EJ chassis is to use the existing EJ engine harness on the D16Z6 - then modify that harness to fit the Z6 engine sensors. You would then also need to buy (or make) a OBD2a to OBD1 ECU harness jumper so you can run the correct P28 ECU with your Z6. There's many write ups. Check it out and good luck.
