B16/18 VTEC valve Spring tool?

Worth noting I usually offset the exhaust cam by half a tooth to slip the belt on and then turn it back to pull the tension between the cam gears.
It's pretty simple once you've done it once without any locking tools.

Thanks for the info

Another one for you - when I build my head up (B16A2) with all the internals - new valve keepers or just re use?

Quite shocked by the price of them , £80quid or so

I guess I'm best inspecting them and taking a view on it before blowing money.

As in caps and colets? I would just re use them. I'd be surprised if they where damaged and tbh Honda made stuff is usually a higher quality than most of the after market stuff, also the fitment is perfect.

Yeah I bought a set of ITR cams, dual springs, retainers and getting some wasted valves.. but no collets came with the springs. Will be a full set in the A2 head though so as long as they look OK should be fine I think

Yeah man I'm sure they will be fine. I have loads of spares if your needing any.

As above. Assuming the valves aren't any wider/narrower on the R models(I heard a rumour they are narrower) then the colets are fine to reuse.

The valves are wasted at the other end, which is normally more to aid flow than weight but should be the same at the retainer end methinks

Indeed. The type r valves are thinner near the head. The shank is the same diameter.
I reused the collets too, with crower steel spring retainers.

We sell this one...
