So I've been planning on getting a 2000 Civic Type R for the last 6 months or so. So I rang my insurance compant, AXA, to see how much extra I would have to pay. They quoted me an extra â¬700 or so.
So I'm picking up the car on Tuesday, so I rang them again today just to change it over to be absolutely shocked by a response of "we can't insure you on that car...".
I was like "Excuse me?", I just put a â¬2000 deposit on the car and organised finace for it.
I explained that I had been given a quote before on the car, the person on the phone said "No that wasnt a Type R, that was an SR 1.6 VTec.", a quote that I did not ask for.
So basically they are saying they won't insure me on this car after an employee of their's quoted me no problem on the car.
What do I do? It's not my fault the guy quoted me wrongly, I specifically asked for insurance on the Type R!
HELP
