Afew questions about b18c4

I've not got into learning all that yet. Would mean paying romain again. Wanted to be able to switch between engines remap free.

Im not meaning change the map just the rev limit if you are concerned about over revving the b18c4

Ah right sorry lol
Yeah I could do that. Was wanting to keep the same rev limit ideally but I suppose it's a sacrifice I may have to make, we'll see how this engine goes first

So this question needs an answer, otherwise I'll have to go out and find out myself lol
B18c4 with a b16b head. The heads good for the rpm but is the bottom end?

8800k limiter in my MC2 with the map, sk2 inlet oem head+valve +retainers,sk2 tuner stage1 cams, power higher with the cams from 7.6k rpm oem>8.2k rpm peak
Use mine to 8.6 now and again but dont like to push it on the valve train tbh.and dont take it to the limiter at 8.8k as run out of power by then and needs a gear shift, but have done <but you have an R head i know>
so
<<<<Dependent on condition of you C4 ,>>>They are very popular for turbo for a reason and very strong .
mine has 112k always run on Magnetec
rev limiter at 8.5 oem & redline 8.2k standard so recon 8.8 k not far from 8.5k oem.
Bigger tyres on to adjust gearing maybe ,FD ?
the c4 pistons may not deliver power well at 8.8k so as above change gearing with tyres to keep in usable power.and a safer working max rpm. its a long way from home!!

I'm also running a turbo B18C4 with the B16B head in my EK9 and use the factory rev limit without any issues. Only things I've done to the engine is ARP head studs with genuine Honda head gasket.

This is exactly what I'll be doing.
I can short shift up to 5th but once I start reaching the limiter in 5th I'm not going to want to lift lol
