Just to let everyone know, if your with admiral they have stopped insuring
import's altogether, had my ek4 sir insured fine and now after wanting to get a JDM DC2 insured which I was planning to collect this weekend as a low mileage weekend/track car on a multicar policy which I've done before with my sir.

So annoyed, It's the only company that seem to help me price wise aswell, no DC2 for me now :angry2:

Hi

We can insure northern ireland at very competitive prices. We have no problem with imports and modifications.

If you would like to get a quote for comparison purposes please feel free to contact us on 01277 650866 or complete a quote form at Greenlight Insurance

If you cover less than 7500 miles a year in your Civic you would also qualify for a reduced mileage discount which can lead to some great prices.

Best Regards
Neil

Greenlight is real good I've been insured with them for over 3 years and now got all 3 of my cars insured are.
Give them a call you prob find there cheaper

greenlight were the only ones I could get to insure my ek9 at a decent price. N Ireland is a joke though for insurance.

I think with admiral sometimes it just depends who you speak to . I've been told before when calling they won't cover me then when I phone back it's not an issue . I insured my ek9 with them 2 weeks ago and they are fully aware it's an import .

I have been with Greenlight for a few years now and they have always been very helpfull.

Neil sorted out a great multi car policy for my daily driver and a weekend/ trackday car both high performance modified cars and they are now import friendly

Thanks for all the kind comments guys its much appreciated.

Best Regards

Will get in touch with you soon Neil, have an ek3 1.5 civic for everyday but want a dc2 for the odd weekend and to drive to and from the track.

And the fact they guy strictly told me no imports really annoys me, he was English, the foreign call team are usually much easier to deal with most of the time surprisingly, cheers for the input guys :nice:

How strange, i called Neil last week and asked about Multi Car Policy, he told me they did not do one?

This is the first report I've seen about it. Are you sure they just didn't want to insure an import for you?

Nope, i allready have a modified UK car insured with them since 2006, i tried to get our Accords insured with them and was told they did not offer a Multi car policy, but maybe could offer a multi car discount. They could not beat the renewal price from Admiral.

No reason to not want to insure my car, as they allready do. And i receicve fantastic prices and service from them.

Can't see why they would not want to offer me a quote, that's what they do.
I'm 41 with Full UK license, Full No claims.

Correction, i spoke to one of Neil's colleages.

The guy must have not liked me. I insured myself on my dad's JDM DC2 with them for a while this year, also they insured my EK4 SiR aswell, both down as imports.

Really F**ked me off!

Will get in touch with Greenlight when I get a moment, my insurance is up in December, so I need to find out if I can get a multicar policy to insure a DC2 and maybe stick an order in for one :p.

We dont do a multicar policy where both are covered under the same policynumber however but can do two insurance policies with the same underwriters to get a get a double discount. We can mirror the NCB on the policies.

We would need both vehicles to be either performance models or have modifications to meet our criteria. If you have an EK9 Type R and a 1.0 Corsa we would only be able to cover the EK9.

If you had the EK9 and a Astra SRI CDTi we could do them both as the Astra is catagorised a performance model.

Ah so my 1.5 vtec ek3 won't count? What if I modded it? And I will give you a call when I'm next free for a discussion.

This thread should be closed surely, admiral do insure imports I've just started a policy with them 2 weeks ago, pretty good deal too.
