my abs light is on constantly, i usually wait for the engine light and the ABS lights to go off when i turn on the ignition but this time the ABS didnt go off, the relay didnt tick either, its on all the time when the car is on :s

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Your going to need to check the fault code. Same procedure as checking engine sensor faults. Jump the service connector and count the flashes.

hav u had the car rollin roaded recently?? member on here ' KellsLad' got his rollin roaded and aftr his abs light stayd on!

nope no rolling roading at all, how do i jump the service connector and how many flashes should i look out for?

my abs light stays on aswell, wen i turn the ignition an start the car it goes off then put into gear and move it comes straight back on. do u reckon one of the wheel sensors may need cleaning or faulty?

not sure, its the easiest place to start tho, ive cleaned my front two but thats made no difference, gonna clean the rears tomorrow and ill try the service connector thing too, if i find out how by then

Sorry can't improve the 1st pic. I know its hard to see. If you save the image to your computer then you can zoom in with your picture viewer.

A adobe version of a service manual. I was taking screen shots which came out fine but when I up loaded them to photobucket the pics were resized smaller for some reason. You will have to pop off the plastic down in the corner of the passenger side footwell to access where the ecu is and the service plug is above there.

cant work out the diagnostic thing :s and ive got to the rear abs sensors but cant get them off, i took the 10mm bolt out of the top but the sensor wouldnt come out :s not been a very successful day......

my abs light is on the whole time aswel had alook and i found that outer cv joint had no abs on it so i think this is why my light is on:angry2:

your looking for a "blue plug" down in the passenger footwell beside the
ecu, just take off plastic trim and look for it.
for facelift cars(99-00) its behind centre console, well mine is.
get a paperclip or piece of wire, put wire into blue plug making a loop.

turn ignition on and count the abs light flashes,3 long flashes followed by
6 quick = 36,use this method to find fault codes and relate it to the table.

i think 3 different abs codes can be stored at once so watch for any more
problems that might be there :blabla:

if you need any sensors i have full set from an ek9 here.

goodluck :)
