Taught you guys would like to see this it's a race car that was built by Brian Sexton & Jomo Engineering here in Ireland. The car is a Nissan Pulsar but the rolling chassis along with suspension and brake setup has undergone major modifications and what better engine to put in it than a k20 iVtec:D

I was brought on board to look after the tuning side of it which I was delighted to be part of. Car was tuned on a Hondata Kpro ecu.

I got down to Mondello Park today to see it run and thankfully everything went well with Brian Sexton qualifying 6th for tomorrow's ITCC event.

Car will be further developed over the winter months so be interesting to see what comes next year.

nice to see the engine being used in other cars other than honda lol what sorta numbers is it putting out?

Thats mental! Nissan Vtec??

What power is it making? Im guessing there was a lot of work involved? Why didnt he just put a k20 into a civic?

Can't disclose the power it's making sorry. Yeah lot of work involved the shock towers in front are custom made. Brian liked how the Pulsar handled so decided to build on this chassis and we all know what the K series engines are capable of so it was a easy choice to go with the Honda engine

did you do it for the fun of tuning?, otherwise the 2lt nissan engines are superb whether n/a or turbo with massive potentials.

It was a realistic choice I think as the K20 iVtec engine is a lot easier to extract power from with far less costs compared to trying to achieve the same level from a SR20VE IMO.

Looks class with the wide arches. Not sure when the car will be back out racing again but if i'm heading up to see it you can come along:nice:

Does it still have the rear beam suspension ??

That was probably one of the first things that got binned:))

OFT!! Imagine the response when vtec is heard from a nessan :D

nice, something different! k20 is a good choice though dude :nice:

Wow! that is different, looks ace! :nice: dont mind the alemera's they dont look to bad and with a k20 in it! :nerv: Top job there! :nice:

Yep. On the jdm 2.0L n.a side of things K20 is much easier, practical, has tons of parts as well. But the SR20VE is a close second, especially now since it's gaining popularity in the compact scene. Oh on the RWD also, getting its head to do a frankenstein on the SR20DET is a popular mod on Silvias in Japan.
