Well , first off, the brakes, we stripped the old paint off with thinners, used panel wipe and it reacted it again, it seems like it's the clear coat causing the reaction because it's fine until that's applied so now I need to get more paint but this time I'm just going for the brush on hammerite stuff.


Big thanks to Hond-R for sorting me out with a new distributor includes 2 years warranty for peace of mind, would of preferred to spend the £240 on goodies but mines on its last legs.

But it's been replaced now and got the timing as close as possible to what it was.

Erm, we've started a heat shield for the new intake , new intake is being prepped so far, never again will I use Argos click and collect service on eBay, caused too much hassle
 
losing love again because it still smokes in vtec despite the stem seals being changed , compression is still high, not sure why it's burning oil or where the oil is leaking from.





 
finally got myself a vti-S front lip to complete the vti-S lip kit including very rare optional bubble skirts.



Lip came with a free smooth front bumper too and I can't complain with the price, however the bumper is not staying because I prefer the bump strip look so if anyone's interested in the bumper hit me up, an ad will be made possibly tomorrow and will be up on the pages.

Okay that's the stuff copied from civiclife.
Cars sat on the drive doing nowt, mot has expired and needs a bunch of work doing.

I'm in two minds to get it remapped now due to the plan of k swapping, wanting to rebuild over the winter and spring and money depending k24 vtec Frank swap. Currently browsing the k20a forum for hints, tips and motivation.
 
Looking sweet mate, I do like the VTI-S lip it's a change from the usual.

Thought of K swapping myself but it takes a lot of money and hassle to just get it running I think, but the k series does have more tuneability it's lighter blah blah... It is just better no doubt haha
 
Yeah, I was the same, I got offered one years back but turned it down then ended up selling the skirts and lip. Only took me 3 years to piece the lip kit back together haha.

Yeah it costs a lot to k swap no doubt I think by my calculations if I split the b swap I will have half of the k swap covered depending if I buy it new or used. I just want the added torque without having to go forced induction for better driveability and of course not getting pulled on if I'm in the wrong gear and waiting on vtec to kick in LOL
 
Did you check the valve guides? They wear and allow the valve to move side to side. New seals won't help this issue.
If you need a Bseries tune and your on Hondata I can do a road tune for you cheap. Atleast you can get close to max out of your current setup whilst saving for K that way.
 
You'd be surprised how driveable a low boost B setup is aswell.

Someone's right a truly ****** my rep over on that one, everyone thinks I'm a scammer now. If you know me you know I'm as loyal as it comes and been in the "scene" long enough, mainly on Civiclife but sold enough to prove I'm not a scammer.

On top of that all the dam pictures I've seen from screen shots are off the build threads., if I was breaking I would of at least got relevant updated pictures of what it actually looks like now.
