Love seeing a Honda being looked after like this! Great start look forward to seeing the finished product!

There's going to be a bit of a slow down with this project for one pretty good reason..

After I was finished with the Integra I was planning on building a time attack car, had been thinking of an s2000 and even had a shell found! But a car fell on my lap which I couldn't pass up... An ex Mardi gras Motorsport Integra dc2 with all the correct parts ie. rose jointed suspension, racing dampers, bag tank, Alcon brakes the works!

So I'll be the proud owner of 2 dc2's soon! A race and road car! :nice:

Very interested to see this ex mardigras car,

Do you know the history of it? As in what has it competed in etc ?

It competed in the 1999 and 2000 British saloon cup and a Belgian cup championship ran by GR Motorsport!

It's also passed through a few hands since then and done various national type touring car races!

i had it here for shell fab and couldnt pass it up!

I was quite surprised by your comment so I did a little digging...
I've just checked the availability of both front dampers on two different continents (US / Europe) and they are still available! :busy:

Have you installed the Spoon dampers and springs yet?

I'm eager to hear your thoughts about them!

;)

At the time I was looking to order two local honda dealers as well as lings honda parts couldn't get a set for me!

Even Simon from Henry couldn't get me a full set!

Haven't fitted the spoon dampers yet but if quality alone made a good damper the spoon's are the business, come with new top mounts with hard rubber bushings. Very nice job!

so bit of an update,

Build is back on track! last week i stripped down all the suspension components, fuel tank and itr strut bars and they are sent to my powder coater to be restored, i also sent any brackets in the engine bay that needed work too. I also sent off the rear calipers to be rebuilt at biggred.co.uk, they have great service i have used them in the past!

Picked up all the new bottom ball joints, top wishbones, front wheel bearings, inner tie rods, track rod ends , steering rack boots, cv joint boots ready for the rebuild. The wheels are sent off to be blasted and fixing up the one or two marks on them, debating what colour to paint them, the original white or the silver they also came from the factory in!

Hopefully the shell will be finished soon, the painter is spending alot of time making sure the prep work is 100%

Forgot to put up a photo of the race car, here she is!
