So after looking for a pre-facelift ek9 for what seemed like an eternity and nothing coming up i resigned myself to not finding one and went ahead and bought a dc2...

Fast forward 2/3 weeks and what seemed like a perfect base for what i'm looking to do popped up!! I couldn't not jump at the opportunity as i'd been looking for a black or yellow ek9 since October.

Plans are to sort out the handling and wheel set up first before generally just tidying up a couple of bits of body work and getting it reliably ready for some track days next year hopefully.

First off the car arrived from Bristol by car courier... It was dark by the time it arrived so i didn't get any photos...

Here is one of it leaving Bristol on it's long journey up to cold and rainy Scotland.

Some photos of it the next day... Very pleased with it, feels good to drive, no smoke or funny noises and most importantly very clean underneath!!

I'm now on the hunt for a set of TE37's or CE28's... If anyone has a set lying around or would be open to offers on selling a set please give me a shout!!

I'll try and keep this updated as I go!

Black preface EK9's are my absolutely favourite Honda hands down haha

Looks clean as hell too!

Not much of an update have just been hunting for parts over the last few weeks... Looks like I've managed to get a cage in as new condition which was never fitted, been hunting for coilovers and wheels still hoping for something to turn up.

Biggest update is picked up this last week

Lovely car mate looks super clean. Love a pre facelift! I had a spoon ecu in my first ek9 and I know theres mixed opinions on them but I thought it was great.

Thanks dude my friend always said his was great. So with the shorter box and this should hopefully feel a good bit quicker!

Couple small updates...

Finally got some buddyclub rails for my spgs so took my old seats out and then got the new set in the next day...

Old seats out and still like new...

Sold to a member on here quite quickly.

Now the good bit...

Seat fitted up no problem and fitment on the rail was like factory, very pleased with the rails and the quality...

Final part of the recent buys is a set of these...

16x7 maybe try and fill out the arches more once I have uprated longer wheel studs with a small spacer... Think it'll be good to be able to swap out wheels from time to time, so I'm still hunting for some other sets... I get bored of cars quickly so this plus some other bits to change around should keep me content...

Last part of this update is I fitted the spoon ecu, I'm not sure it makes the car much much quicker but it definitely hits vtec earlier and seems much easier to peddle... Take from that what you wish but I'd certainly say it's a worthwhile upgrade and a very reasonable price..

Man such nice mods , spoon diff and fd will make the car
A whole different animal !
Black preface is my favourite love them and I love yours
Especially
