3rd gear ratio

dear all,
my 3rd gear ratio's syncro teeth is already wore as in its not as sharp as b4. do i need to replace it?

ya m8! my mech shown me the 3rd gear ratio with the slightly rounded syncro teeth on the gear ratio itself, not the syncro itself. it was supposedly sharp edges.

wut. this doesnt make any sense.

is it grinding into 3rd gear, esp at high RPM?

if so your syncro prob needs done, but If i was you Id build the gearbox while it was apart.

are you sayng that your 3rd gear has rounded edges on the teeth?

this sort of thing doesnt just happen, and i expect the reason behind it is that your scynroes are completely shagged! hence people are asking....

did it chrunch going into this gear?

ya but only when shifting at 8k rpm. my mech asked me to get a new ratio but all my m8 who are familiar with the gb told me its normal & just continue using it.
it's quite hard to explain. it's the teeth on the ratio where the synchros sleeve is suppose to lock in.
