Turn signals are controlled by a relay so id check that and try another before doing anything else Its under the driver side dashboard in the fusebox

Unclip it from the metal bracket and get something like a flat head screwdriver or a chisel and pry them apart in the middle while pressing the tab. Its not easy but can be done Clean it and put some grease on it when putting it back
