    Basic wiring colour codes

Yea, I did that before I posted. I also looked up colour references for Automotive wiring in Japanese. All the instructions were in Japanese with no colour references I have since been told that it probably doesn’t matter which way the wires are connected.

    Basic wiring colour codes

Quick question re wiring please. I’m currently installing a sandwich plate with oil pressure and temp senders. The pressure sender has two wires, grey and black, unfortunately the sender has Japanese lettering for the wires I just don’t know which is which, assuming G = Grey and WK = Black? I...

Sandwich take off and oil cooler question

As an addition to this thread, I have now placed an order for the oil cooler for the EK9 and also on for the Peugeot 205 project that I’m working on. After doing a lot of research I ordered the kits from Matt Lewis racing, they were great for advise and were the most competitive on pricing that...

Sandwich take off and oil cooler question

Thanks for the reply. So, it’s great to know it’s not an issue to stack a couple of sandwich plates on top of the Std heat exchanger. After looking at all the threads the issues I keep seeing with even thermostat oil coolers is that the amount of by pass oil that the system allows means that...

Sump swap - Lambda sensor connector

Thanks, it’s probably just seized in place. Annoying when everything else is off and it’s just a plastic connector that’s stopping the job. Think you are right re the Lambda, I’ll replace it

Sump swap - Lambda sensor connector

Hi all, I’m a bit embarrassed posting this, but I’m in the process of installing a baffled sump to my EK9 and I have everything off apart from the lambda sender wiring connection. As usual with connectors, there are different ways of squeezing and levering small locking plastics to allow the...

    New owner in the NW

Hi Scott, sorry for the late reply. Yes the plan is to keep it std, as far as it is at the moment. Look after it so it stays in its current condition and drive it :)

    New owner in the NW

Hello, I have at long last bought a Civic EK9 type R. its still in great condition and I’m currently loving the type R experience. I just wish that I had test driven one 20 years ago. I will be going through the car in the summer and updating the rust protection to make sure it stays how it is...
