    Kat's JDM 2000 Logo TS GF-GA3

Much obliged, Mark. It's honestly tiny, so even turboing the D-Series would probably do a lot... New windshield installed:

New TS emblems are in. The GA3 is currently getting the windshield replaced. Then I'll put the emblems back on it. I'm planning to move them down to the lower right hand corner of the hatch door.

A thing came in today. I'll put it on the car when I have a chance and snap a picture. I still need the front emblem and the TS badge. Also, tomorrow I'll install the new fender and my mechanic will install the new windshield. Yay. It's on:

    Who's still about?

Forums in general are the domain of the "olds." At 34, I have to admit, I am one of the "olds." It's not just car forums, there's a lot of other stuff that has moved to social media. A video editing forum I've been on for almost 20 years (and am currently a mod on) used to be one of the busiest...

    Kat's JDM 2000 Logo TS GF-GA3

Door is fixed, window works, mirror doesn’t fold because it’s not a motorised version (derp), yes I can (slowly) fix all those clear coat scratches myself. While my mechanic worked on swapping the door innards, I worked on pulling everything out of the car for a cleaning: I spray and washed...

    Kat's JDM 2000 Logo TS GF-GA3

Tomorrow my mechanic will tackle the door innards, and he’ll check out anything that he thinks is a problem. Also he will give me full run of the shop for anything I want to do (except spray painting, he’s concerned about traveling mist). So here’s what I’m planning to do: Pull out DC5 ITR...

    Sloppy's Midori Hatch

Good call on the headlights. Look way better as the stock design but without the amber stripes. I'm guessing you're going to use an amber bulb?

    Kat's JDM 2000 Logo TS GF-GA3

Well, it's technically possible just really really difficult. Basically, if you swap and engine, you have to redo registration, and in order to do so, you have to supply documented evidence that every single part you use is rated for your application and can stand up to the extra power. Either...

    Kat's JDM 2000 Logo TS GF-GA3

You might remember my introductory new member thread, but I thought I'd go ahead and make a full Members Rides thread so I can make updates. This is my JDM (registered in Japan) 2000 Honda Logo TS GF-GA3. I bought it in pretty rough condition and I've slowly been rebuilding and building it (and...

I'm Kat, I write about cars, I have a Honda Logo TS

I'm an American by birth, Japanese by choice. Compared to how much freedom and lack of fees/taxes on stuff like this in the U.S., this seems rather expensive to most of my readers at Jalopnik. Apparently, it still seems expensive to most Japanese, since even car enthusiasts in Japan apparently...

I'm Kat, I write about cars, I have a Honda Logo TS

You can do it, you just need to have a mechanic do an inspection to make sure that all the parts related to supporting the engine were designed to be used with that engine. It's expensive because it goes above and beyond normal inspection, and normal inspection is already between $1000-2000...

So some bad news. I have been reliably informed, while legal, the registration/inspection situation for doing an engine swap is massive. It's complicated paperwork followed by massive expenses. It may be technically legal, but it seems prohibitive. So I'll need to figure out how to deal with...

    MotorMo's Whip

They're original then? The gunmetal ones seem especially hard to find as OEM. There's a number of replicas, but ironically, they seem to be state-side, not in the land of JDM here in Japan, so I haven't been able to find them. I thought you might have had a hook up. Too bad.

Moto, where did you get these rims, I'm looking for some to put on my GA3.

Howdy, EK9 forum folks, I've been a long, long time reader, as I had an EJ (although we still sort of called it and other such USDM hatchbacks EKs) in the early 2000s, but I had never registered. Eventually it was stripped, I bought a BMW E46, and then when I moved to Japan I was without my own...
