Get the timing checked, timing gun and short the service connector. Should be within the 3 marks on the crank pulley, ideally on the central one. You just slacken the dizzy bolts and clock the dizzy round to adjust. Easy job, Google is your friend.

Bolted straight up on the DC2, the front bar picks up on the towing eye mount (unbolt OEM tow eye bracket and bolt the cross brace in its place) then the arms bolt on and run through the LCAs. I think they use the bolts that hold the two parts of the LCA together you you may need slightly longer...
The pickup point of the traction bar is found by drawing a line through the LCA bushings and that points to where the traction bar mounts the cross member. The other end picks up the LCA laterally awat from this line. This means the bar rotates with the LCA, it never binds and keeps constant...
I ran a fullrace traction bar on me DC2, would definitely fit one to any car I was serious about the handling on. By far the best £150 (mine was second hand) I spent for making the car go faster.
Did our ek4 with hardrace and they are fine for a daily.
I dont think the hardrace rta bushes are as bad as many make out either, certainly nothing like as bad as poly bushes in that position
Just dusted the Jordan off after being sat for 18months to get it motd. I have a bit of an issue with slightly raised CO emissions (couod just want a new cat, could be relatd to the hunting) and it hunts a little whe you try and hold a fast idle at 2-3krpm.

Best part of £100 for a recon is rather steep if you just need a £5 bearing.
